Fixed an issue that caused climbing to fail when attempting to walk onto ladders from the bottom rung. Note that there could be some ladders that were not fixed in this systematic pass, and should be reported with quest names and /loc

Corrected an issue where characters who were swimming could not swim onto the first rungs of partially submerged ladder. Note that there could be some ladders that were not fixed in this systematic pass, and should be reported with quest names and /loc

Fixed a different issue with ladders that would cause the character to rubberband back onto the ladder when attempting to dismount it. Can't stress this enough: there could be some ladders that were not fixed in this systematic pass, and should be reported with quest names and /loc



So no more ladder hitching? After all these years?

Ladders have gotten much, much worse for me in the last few weeks.  Ever since the new physics engine.

I'm hoping that ladders will improve, but I'm not expecting it.

Everything has gotten worse for me with the physics engine "upgrade".

Constant 3 steps back, ladder shit, ultimate not facing anything ever, mobs who can't teleport teleporting around. Bullshit.

Please fucking let one of the fixed ones be the damn one in RitD!  Had to go down to rescue stones on two occasions recently (cause the damn people couldn't even get across the pit dead to take a raise on the safe side!) and got fucked trying to climb back out.  Couldn't climb the ladder because of the bug and only way to get out was to jump onto the ladder and then got hit by the spikes.  Never been so frustrated with that quest!

after an afternoon wasted on lammania i'm amazed by how little issues i had with ladders.

by little i mean none at all, it's still blowing my mind.

fortunately i've got mobs spawning on the wrong side of walls, or walking through walls to keep my faith intact.

Same here.

I was actually fucking around on a server I don't regularly play on for favor (I was 20 points short. shut up.) and rolled a character that happened to have an 8 Str and no points in Jump and there was one ladder (that didn't reach the ground - Shan-To-Kor, I think) that I couldn't actually get UP because I couldn't jump the requisite "one character height" above the bottom of the ladder in order to start climbing it without a jump potion.

That was fucking awesome.

I am so tired of mobs or myself getting stuck in walls or objects.

Or getting no attack rolls on mobs right in front of me.

That physics upgrade made a lot of things worse.

Here's a nice easy one to test.

Get on your airship, and swing your weapons while running at the target dummy.  Get a nice long running start across the deck.

Stop running just outside of your normal attack range, but keep swinging.

You'll get 1-2 attacks that land on the dummy, and then the rest nothing.

I'm still trying to come up with a decent way to abuse this...

Don't worry, ladders will be broken to fix the wall bug.
