Title: Turbine is close to releasing a MOBA

Multiplayer online battle arena

What ever that is. They are hiring game testers right now. The WB/Turbine website has scrubbed the word "MOBA" and "impending release" from the ad, but those are still available on other job sites.

This position is responsible for carrying out Quality Assurance procedures to support the testing and verification for Turbine's upcoming MOBA game. The QA Tester must use his or her judgment to evaluate game content in a thorough manner given a limited amount of time. This person will choose what and how to test while working within broad guidelines provided by the Qualitative QA Lead and Senior Tester.

I thought this was the "Guardians of Middle Earth" game that was just released - they were working on two of them?

That was done by another WB property. Which seems dumb.

I really hope the guys they hire won't have to deal with a code similar to the clusterfuck DDO seems to be. ( When a dev tells that doors and quite a lot of things are related and that changing something in a single one of the quite a lot of things will fuck up doors really bad you know the code has to be a clusterfuck )

Oh and could it be a Harry Potter Thingie ? ( come on multiplayer online battles of wizards... )

I expect DDO's codebase was reasonably fine back in 2006. Code rots, always easier to work on a fresh codebase than an old creaky one.

I agree a big part of their game issues stem from age; but that excuse died about three updates after the lawsuit ended.  They started half-assing, outsourcing, or whatever it is that led them to this Jenga code base.

It's to the point now that the more players ask them to work on, the more they're gonna break due to all the mcGuyver shit they've been doing since.
