If it happened, then congrats to the people who offered up the candid feedback. If Turbine wants to craft shit, they deserve to get booed. On the other hand, QA didn't write the crappy code. Its next to impossible to test quality into crappy software. I'm not sure where the problem is, but either the developers or QA (or both) have real issues.

Aye booing the QA is pretty lame. Boo the decision makers. And whoever said "Nah the system is fine. Refactoring is not needed, we have all possibilities of accidental breakages well covered and tested. And if, we still have QA."

The party was fun, mostly because of the various times it caused Gawna to hyperventilate. The Vault girls danced and felt up Lolth and each other. Gawna still can't keep her mouth closed. Jerry was actually really nice and talked to us for a long time, and he was pretty straight up and didn't make a ton of excuses. Plus he gave me an extra free drink, and that's really all I need.

QA being blamed for the issues is definitely lame and blaming the wrong folks.

QA rarely gets a say in a shipping date.  For example, Turbine announce MotU was going to ship on a certain date when they started offering the Collector's Editions.

Once a date is set for release, all QA can do is test as much as they can, find what they can and send it back to the developers for fixing.

If developers introduce new issues while fixing one problem then another iteration of the test cycle is needed.

Devs give estimates to deliver code based on the requirements.  And Project managers base the release date on those estimates and ALWAYS, ALWAYS underestimate the testing/fix/re-testing cycle.   They always think the devs are going to deliver code with few bugs.

So, QA can only do what they can.  They have no power in controlling the release date.  They have no power in the crappy code some devs are going to deliver.   

If the programmers suck, QA can't find all the bugs in the time frame.
