I don't report anything that doesn't interfere with my personal well-being.  Something was getting in the way of bettering my character.  This is a problem.

Hence the suggestion of rep farming. 

The system's broke, exploit it.

How much do you need to be able to neg rep anyway?

I have not messed around with those forums yet, what are the benefits from Positive rep? My friend who plays now and then posts there and we cant see any connection between his forum rep and his characters or TP.

my first couple days on the forums and i got neg repd into oblivion and i hadn't even seen anyone respond negatively to any of my posts.  hell, most my first couple posts were to new ddo heads like, "welcome to ddo!" reallly nice shit, and bam, i'm suddenly some -rep'd asshole so i disabled it, just to piss off all those pussies who get off on rep'n people.

Nah, in all seriousness, I can't see him even dropping a single post.  He knows he's not well loved, there'd be nothing for him to gain by posting here.

I will say this, though: he does an incredibly good job of keeping his posts within the boundaries of the rules, probably because any time he slips up, there's a line of people waiting to report him.  I'd be interested to see what he'd have to say in a place without those rules.

If you do that, they'll just neg rep you to the ground or ban you. They read these forums and exploiting the rep system is against the guidelines. If you intend to keep using the forums, I would advise against it.

It depends what the people think is not the right use of neg rep. For example, if you're neg repping everyone asking a question, that's not something that Turbine might want to keep around and it makes sense for them to do something about it.

Though, a warning would have made more sense in this case.

I don't give a flying fuck who reads this forum, or my rep status on the ddo forums, that said, the very idea of the OP is without merit.  Doing dumb shit never has a postive effect, period.  I think that is about as much eloquence as this thread deserves.  The rep system doesn't change the power structure, it just gives T&T more time to focus on the "major players", quite a few of which are here.
