make a min 2 +45 hp cloak. this frees up minos for a +6 cha helm

I'd make boots or gloves myself.  As a tank I'd never want to give up 20 hit points that stacks with everything.

I wouldn't like losing the toughness feat from minos, but the HP cloak would give +5 deflection, which I currently have on the tempest tier of my DT armour. The cloak would allow me to put +6 CHA on the armour I guess, freeing up the helm slot for +15 intimidate, which would in turn free a ring slot for something.

But the net gain from doing the cloak would only be 25 HP in the end.

Minos doesn't grant the toughness feat anymore.  Just +20 hp.  Still it's tough to give up.  You can get the heavy fort easily enough in several other ways, but the HP is cool. 

The DT armor is such a crap shoot.  Makes planning your build harder because its tough to rely on what you will have with each tier.
