So,
I decide to take a blow from the retail booth for a bit and head up to the exhibit floor to check out the Turbine booth at PAX. (Actually, I wanted to scope out all the 15 year old gals dressed up as anime checks!

)
First goal was to see if MadFloyd was available and check out if this guy is for real. I came at him with the attitude of "hey, I am a 4+ year vet with a dozen+ capped toons and I have been shit on for the last 12 months, what are you going to do to try to keep me as a customer."
I have to hand it to the guy as his reply shows that he truely does care about the game and their customers experience, OR, he should win an oscar for passing on some of the most believable BS that I have ever heard. For my 2 cents, I'm gonna go with the first option.
He went over what he could tell me about upcoming content releases and races (go read about it yourself ya lazy bastards, nothing new for me to report that is not posted elsewhere) and did say that going forward that there should be very little, if any, low level content released thru at least 2011.
He seemed openly very embarrased about some of the content that has been released into the game of late (IQ quests, Epic level dungeons and a few others) as most were flawed to varying degrees.
He is not a fan of the current loot tables/systems and would like to see them reworked as well as some of the current crafting/upgrade systems currently in use.
It's too bad that he is just one guy because if he was pulling all the strings, this game would have some hope if he could get done what he wants.
Unfortunately, there is a certain Fernando that is positioned higher than him at the company and as long as he is calling the shots, I see very very little chance of this game lasting for "US" as a user group as the answer to my opening question could not have been more polar opposite. You can read all about it in my upcoming "5 wasted minutes with Fernando" thread.
Later fuckers!
