Just to keep those without access updated on anything they may need to grind out for this. I will C&P how the system works but it seems like items start at ml4 and go up to ml20 with turn-in items. These are some that are posted already on lam forum. There is a docent with the same effect as the robes.

Seems like the upgrades will need collectibable items+upgradeable item+ Motes of Night(between 500-750 per upgrade that I have seen so far) to upgrade with a new system called Bartering.

Per The_Cataclysm:

Quote:
The mabar event doesn't have anything like what Risia did with it's adding icy burst to effects. Instead there a different named items that you can get from turning in collectables that can in turn be upgraded to higher level versions (starts out at level 4, and increases by 4 levels each time).

Per Symar-FangofLloth:
Quote:
The gear has a variant/upgrade every 4 levels. So level 4/8/12/16/20 versions exist.
There are handwraps, a robe, a docent, and a cape.
There are two eternal wands, with level 1/3/5/7/9 variants.
There are a number of potions and a couple silly effects.
There's the option to buy the rarer non-scale upgrade requirements (vampire fangs and lich dust).
And, of course, there's an option to get Renown.
I had a screenshot of it all but it messed up in editing... (I should clarify, a screenshot of the barter window, which doesn't display any effects and only has a blurb description)

That robe may replace my Dragontouched on my caster.

Nightmare guard is almost the same as the PK/force damage on Terror.

Against undead, yes. Otherwise I dont really see a power issue with them. Unless you see something I dont. I mean against regular mobs its just like an ele burst with a lit2 proc.  Besides its lama land. I am sure there will be hotfixs or changes to some of these before(or durning) live. Still I think every monk on the servers is going to be grinding these out as I am sure they are going to be a must have monk item for undead killers. Especially when undead heavy epics come into play.

BTW I have'nt seen anything about the damage of the Radiant blast but I have'nt looked either.
Edit: My search-fu was weak and could'nt find anything about the damage proc for the wraps.

But I'm wondering which is the typo.
Is the naming of Ghostly and the fluff of incorporeality the typo?
Is the description if concealment miss chance the typo?

One of them is wrong.

The naming of Ghostly, to me, designates it as incorp, which means that it should stack with blur/displacement, just as shadow fade does.  Otherwise it would be called Blurry like the Dusk Heart.
The detailed description, on the other hand, contradicts this.

It seems that some testing is in order to determine which is the typo.

The DR is worth at least as much as a greensteel HP cloak, and it also has useful guards.  How is that bad?

It almost makes me want to make a Shintao Monk.  But then I remember that I'd be playing a Shintao Monk and I decide not to do it.

I read up some more on the system they are using for this and the collectable items you need are going to work like risa in that if you land the killing blow on something in the graveyard you get an item. This is causing some distress because there is only one area that spawns the creatures that drop the items and its lvl 1-20 free for all. Players on the forums were talking about alot of killstealing going on durning the event.
Most eveyone is asking for a change to this to make it like any other collectible bag drop but I dont see this happening as all you would have to do is park your toon in a corner and collect the bags that drop evey 5 mins or so to get all the items you want.

Yes it did work this way.  I was there testing it but MadFloyd said in chat that there was a bug and that all attackers in the vicinity were suppose to get an item.  I was on my Wizard and DBF was obviously tearing up undead so kill stealing on casters and healers was almost a guarantee.

They were; that and mass heal.  I used the shrine in From Beyond the Grave to recharge and just kept cycling.  I had a 1000 motes in like an hour.  The keys to enter the 'raid' portion of the event were rarer I didn't stay long enough to see the boss actually fall and get an idea of the drop rate on scales.  It is a much cooler event than the Ice Games and they grave yard area looks sweet done up for Halloween.

Can you please explain why eveyone was saying that one item needed to be purchased with plat and not tp. What is the item and whats it for? And what is the spectral scale for?

I'm not sure what they were talking about with plat.  The raid boss is A Spectral Dragon.  It drops the scales.  The motes, the scales, and some other items dropped by mini bosses are required to turn in to get the items.  I'll log in today and grab a couple screenies of the turn in.

Just checked the lama land forums. Most everyone wanted the Coffee to be able to bought for plat. Whats the deal with it?

That was at the beginning of the instance I think it restored HP and SP.  I didn't pay much attention when it said points.  I just popped in and out of one of the quests to shrine up.
