Well they have added a new splash on the web page which says Update 7 coming soon.  With Update 6 they did that about a week prior to release so I am guessing the information about the 20th and 22nd of October are accurate.

Yeah, they originally had the 20th for VIPs on the Coming Soon page for the DDO Store (22nd for everyone else), but took the dates down pretty quickly.

On Lam the reported the repeater bug fix broke melee swing rate, so they pulled the repeater fix. It is scheduled for the first patch now. To sum up - patch 1 update 7 already planned.

Patches don't concern me.  It happens.  Every update for every game I've ever played has needed patches because nothing is perfect and no matter how large the testing base, some things will be missed.

Hotfixes, on the other hand, are for game breaking bugs and require immediate attention.
