Now, that the Sally chest is dropping on Hard and Elite we are upping our game and running ToD's on Hard and Elite.  We did 2 this weekend and saw a Horruth behavior that I wasn't sure was intend or a bug so I figured I would ask the experts.

On both runs (Hard/Elite) at about 50% Horruths aggro table wiped clean.  We had an HP tank on Horruth and the rest of the party on Sally by the portal.  When Horruth hit around 50%, he switched aggro to a random member of the Sally party charged across the room, badged a bunch of us, and created general chaos while the tank on him reestablished and pulled him back.

So, we weren't sure if this is WAI or a bug.  If this is normal then it's just something to be ready for and plan around. 

Also, any good strategies for the trash?  Honestly, it was a pretty easy go on Hard and Elite for parts 1 and 2.  The trash Orthons in Part 3 were the most difficult part.

I have read on the *other* forum in several posts that intimidate/aggro seems to be working randomly/not working since the last update. Big suprise, they broke something yet again... sigh

I've seen this behavior from Horoth on normal before.  All of a sudden the aggro goes wacky and he starts running after random people.

Yes if you go incap you automatically lose agro even if it was just for .05secs in between a heal. Even better you not only lose agro any hate/agro you have built up is gone.

It didn't look like it from the game (I.E. his name never went red and he never hit the dirt) but he had combat chat off so we couldn't check to be sure that he didn't momentarily go down but the healers didn't think that he did.

Pretty sure the second time it happened the tank was at half...

The other odd thing I didn't mention was:

We had a Tendon Slicer on Big H with the tank since it was still working so if the tank went incap the guy slicing should have gotten the agro (just the two of them had been on him a while at that point) but Big H just charged over to the pile on Sally.

...but my main question is answered it's not part of the quest it's either a cock up on our part or Turbine porked agro.

I saw this happen on a run recently.  I agree that I think there have been some unintended changes in the aggro workings.

My situation was I was on Licoricewhip, my pally.  I'd made it a habit to avoid smiting and divine sacrifices until Sulu is dead. I've accidentally drawn aggro enough times to adjust my tactics.  Anyway, I hadn't used any special attacks, but did get a few Lightning 2 procs on him swinging with zeal on.

We had Sulu at 25% or so and I about died suddenly.  It was a disintegrate from a now charging Horoth.  The key thing, as was mentioned, is for that person with aggro to go defensive AWAY from the rest of the party.  Then it's a game of living long enough via my own heal scrolls/csw/loh while the designated tank took aggro back.

I thought it was weird at the time, and I puzzled on that for awhile following the raid.  I think you are on to something here, because Horoth was at 50% while he was in my face.

Khyber was infamous for it's lag before the merger , but it was a three into one merger and we have no info that states that the used the actual Khyber server over the other two. Even though keeping the Khyber name was a bad move no matter what server they chose.

The worste thing to do though If the main tank dies and you have the agro to be running around, It is better to just sit and sheild block and hope you dont die rather then end up running around getting half the party hit with badges.
