But using graphic glitches and purposly dying are things that take a lot of fun out of it.
The stage in Party Crashers is obviously meant to be there. (well not so obvious actually) because as you said the path is there...and would have no other purpose unless meant to be there. What bother me about that one though is the quest on normal is lvl 5 and a lvl 5 char cannot get a high enough Jump to get up there.
Wish that one was more cut and dry.
Actually, even just getting on the stage to do the optional is difficult for lvl 5s. Really dont understand why they made it that way.
But ladders that do not appear until monsters are killed, but players finding a way to get up to where they need to without killing them is wrong.
Doors that need a puzzle solved to get to open, but can be bypassed by jumping at a certain spot doesn't seem right to me. That spot actually bypassing a lot more than one door.
And in another spot purposely dying to get to a certain spot seems definately wrong.
the specifics aren't really important though. It's the culture that seems to think this is ok that I am against.
Anyone care to cut the fog and state which Epic (and non-Epic) Quests have which Cheezy Tactics.
What I know:
1. VoN 1: A caster stands outside the arena at the top and places firewalls down into the arena.
2. VoN 2: You can bypass killing the spiders by jumping up to the platform that the ladder spawns on. It is a tricky jump to pull up on the corner, but could be used. You can jump up past the ladder at the arcane oozes too. You can firewall mobs from safe spots in lots of places, including the end fight (from on top of the wooden fences or on the ledge outside the maze).
3. Enter the Kobold: You can jump up the rocks to bypass part of the path. You can jump up on top of the puzzle maze walls by getting to the other side of the puzzle and then jumping up between the rock wall and the maze wall.
4. Abbot raid: You enter the goggles puzzle, get the goggles, die, get rezzed in the middle, enter again. So, you have the goggles on the side of the puzzle that they can see. You can also hang off the side of the asteroids platform and wait for the asteroids to finish.
5. Big Top: There are a few places you jump up to skip parts of the path.
6. Offering of Blood: I hear you stand on the door switches and firewall from there?
So, what are these other instances they hint at? Something in Party Crashers you can jump up near the stage? Some Epic that you can bypass a door via death?
