Did I fuck up these calculations or are they ok?

Posting here to see if these calculations look valid and also because I was surprised to see that the extra damage from Rage, Vicious and Sneak Attack from a Heavy Pick Kensai Ftr12/Bbn6/Rog2 ended up providing more damage per hit than the extra crit range on the Kensai III pure Fighter.

The Fighter 20 will get the capstone's 5-ish% DPS increase, but I was still surprised that the extra crit range on the Heavy Picks didn't win against the extra damage from the Barbarian and Rogue levels.

Best be getting some rep for going through needless calcs again.

And here we go:

[snip] (scroll up to see Consumer's calculations)

I'm now stealing Consumer's breakdown and only making the changes to show a Ftr12/Bbn6/Rog2 with Kensai II and Frenzied Berserker I.

I'm just cutting and pasting Consumer's numbers for the most part so that we can have an apples-to-apples comparison and also because it's a lot easier than doing everything from scratch.  I'm also going to go ahead and include the 2d6+3 sneak attack damage in both calculations, but sneak attack doesn't get multiplied on a crit, so it won't make any difference between the two weapons.

Damage per hit that the Ftr 12/Bbn 6/Rog 2 gets that Ftr 18 doesn't:

+10 Strength from Barbarian Rage (or more if you have the active Past Life: Barbarian)

+2d6 = 7 Vicious damage

+2d6 + 3 = 10 Sneak Attack damage

+2 additional Power Attack

Damage per hit that the Ftr 12/Bbn 6/Rog 2 loses that Ftr 18 gets:

Ftr Specified Weapon Specialization II

Kensai III's +1 crit range for specified weapon

Nips = 1590 + 418 = 3264 damage / 20 = 163.2 average damage

4.96% more DPS for Deathnip in non-autocrit situations

Autocrit

lit II = (455.5 * 18) + 469.5 = 8668.5 / 20 = 433.43 average damage per hit

Nips = 418.5 * 19 = 7951.5 damage / 20 = 397.58 average damage per hit

9.02% more DPS for LitII in autocrit situations

This compares to 2.17% more DPS for Deathnips in non-autocrit situations and 12.4% more DPS for LitII in autocrit situations for the similar Kensai III that Consumer posted. Kensai III narrows the gap for non-autocrit by broadening the crit range for both while the Kensai II/ FB I/ Rogue 2 narrows the percentage gap in autocrit situations by adding the same ammount of damage to both weapns. I was surprised to see the DPS go up for the Deathnips in non-autocrit situations for the Ftr12/Bbn6/Rog2. I expected it to be higher in autocrit situations, certainly, but I thought that the +1 crit range would still be better than the additional damage from rage, vicious and sneak attack.

Missing Kensei damage (+2).

1d6 +3 +8 SA on average = 14.5

I have a full breakdown for the blitz with picks in page 5 of the build thread.

Thank you.  I started out as a pure fighter for my current project, but I like the fact that I can change to blitz any time before level 13 if I decide to go that direction.

I'm still waffling between Ftr20 and a Blitz build.
