Selling TORC on completion of DQ2

Print Post
First Vault post, completed an elite DQ2 on my caster, Castinfist (Khyber) today and a cleric pulled a Torc.

Now I am a believer in doing with your loot as you will, with the exception of selling it to the highest bidder.
This is exactly what happened today.
Now I'm not completely blaming the incident on the cleric who pulled the Torc, as I'm pretty sure he recieved almost instantaneous pm'd offers.
Now I would have loved the Torc, but I know my time will come, I was more disappointed by the fact that wheeling and dealing went down behind "closed doors" without the majority of the groups knowledge. (Two people bidding and I understand the losing bid was a scroll of the gloves of the claw)
Anyways forget clerics and other bidders name, although I know the Torc auction was won by a bard Krazydamage, go figure.
Sad thing is the cleric didnt even have a Torc and I told him he best keep it, his loss I guess.

Anybody else have an issue with this sorta behaviour, or is it fine?

Sorry, my brain is too busy exploding at the concept of not keeping the blinking Torc.

Still farming on my FS, sigh.

Selling it may not be the most PC thing he could have done with it, but it was his, so it was his choice.
I have no problem if someone wants to sell THIER gear.

What I have a problem with is proxy rolling, and rolling on items that you simply can't use.

Krazydamage is a douchebag anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, the (K)Crazydamage ship has sailed.

Your loot is your loot but personally, selling or buying raid loot will put you on the sad face side of my 'friends' list.

I just got that impression after you spent 13 pages calling out eladiun for being an interwebs bully when anyone who's been posting on here already knew that.  I mean, he's proud of it and hardly tries to hide that at all.

If only... every time I turn around I see Krazy-something-or-other in the LFM.  I'm half expecting to see Krazy's Krazy Furniture Blowout ads on late night TV.

It was my husband who was participating in the "behind closed doors bidding".  He had offered the Cleric 5 large devil scales & the scroll for Gloves of the Claw.

Apparently he was more interested in Krazydamage's offer, which I heard was 1 mil plat & some large devil scales.

I don't think that Cleric really gave the Torc a good look at all.  Otherwise, I'm sure he would have kept it for himself.

Not telling the other group members & having wasted their time sitting around seeing if the Torc was to be for roll or not...that's no bueno.

Brand new character, first high level... those offers would be plenty tempting.

Sadly, It sounds like the new player took the worse deal.

Just another reason I am glad I avoid CrazyDamage's LFM's.  Sadly Helixio is back up to cap, so I have to ignore his stupid LFM's again.  I was loving that he took 3-4 months to TR.  It was a nice break from seeing his name constantly next to LFM's that take an hour to fill.

I get the whole "It's your Loot do what you want with it" Deal, but isn't there some sort of responsibilty of players to say to the cleric (He said "he had two other toons with TORCs and didn't seem hard too come by", I found this doubtful btw), "Look dude keeping this Torc is in your best interests" Instead of spamming him with delicious offers?

1mil plat and a few large scales is far easier to come by than a Torc IMO, especially on a cleric nearing cap who wont have any issues grouping, seemed like a good guy, but didn't seem to think things through.
Would have been nice to have seen the offers put up on party chat, so others could have given the cleric some advice.

Doctornik is the cleric.

Our buddy KD ran right in part 2 as soon as we got back to town kept telling everyone else to hurry up and would not get out of the quest because party was not a raid group when his dumbass went in. Got 5 more people, quest went fine, Krazydamage died.

Doctornik pulls it, said he had 2 torcs on other toons but never used them. Guy was telling him he needs to keep it and NOT sell it several times. Yada, yada, yada KrazyDickface buys the torc.

(If I pulled it I would have told Krazydamage to shove his offer up his ass.)

I don't care if you sell or swap your chest loot EXCEPT in the situation where it goes to Krazydamage, that guy is a fucking tool.
