I just realised the hobglob may have had 1 pt more dmg than it was meant to in my calcs, and the disint may have been left off the new eCM. Anyway below numbers are double checked Smiley


0% no DR (Trash)

Epic Chimera's Fang = 100.9 = 85.65 + 15.25 (3d10 base = 107.23 = 91.98 + 15.25)
Lit2 Khopesh =  114.15 = 87.68 + 26.48
+5 Hobglob = 108.35 = 91.73 + 16.63


50% Fort, Good and Silver DR (15)

Epic Chimera's Fang = 91.8 = 76.55 + 15.25 (3d10 base = 97.58 = 82.33 + 15.25)
Lit2 Khopesh = 84.8 = 58.33 + 26.48
+5 Hobglob = 92.65 = 76.03 + 16.63


100% Fort, no DR

Epic Chimera's Fang = 82.7 = 67.45 + 15.25 (3d10 base = 87.93 = 72.68 + 15.25)
Lit2 Khopesh = 83.95 = 57.48 + 26.48
+5 Hobglob = 76.95 = 60.33 + 16.63

In conclusion, if you do not have to hit issues, the new Epic Chimera's Fang is gimp.
Lit2 or crafted is the way to go. If you have to hit issues, then you are not a Blitz or 18 fighter, and probably can't fit the feats in anyway.

Human pally s&b tank might have fun with one behind a shield though. It's by far and away the best one hander for that niche.

Still pretty good numbers though. Would be nice against those super high ac targets.

Yea but Stalwart Defender gets 15% hate from the ToD set and 20% from eClaw set (seeker/intim pirate hat and GoMF and the new bracer for dodge and toughness).

So the hate gen doesn't stack with the ideal gear you use anyway, and the hobglob is +9 vs +10 on those super high ac pic targets.

Good for Human Stalwart despite some redundancies...I wouldn't waste my time in House D for a pair that's for sure though.

It should be 3d10 and have the second proc (lit strike or disint) applied on the 3rd Dragonmark. That would make it worthwhile.

Idk, half elves don't look quite as I had hoped, considering I usually played a half elf in my pnp campaigns.

Saying that, the only issue I have is how they're faces get mashed in focus orbs, character selection screen, etc., yet in character creation, they look completely different.

I wouldn't bother slotting Con...you'll likely have it from a ToD set.

IMO give it melodic guard and make the slot Yellow. Then it would be worth using, if only for fun Smiley

I wear the Big Top constantly because I make it look good, but still.  Maybe they know a lot of people do that anyway and they figure there's no reason to make it better when so many people wear it? 

The funny part is that there's no reason at all for me to even have epic'd the fucker.  Sad

Why not?  It and the Spyglass from Crystal Cove are the only two items with a stacking UMD bonus.

I think she means as a full time piece of gear.

I use it as a swap in on my Pally along with the Bunny hat for TS/Blur/Shield/Exp Retreat.

Some gear is just good as a swap in, clickies, UMD bonus etc. No one complains about the Titan Gloves as a clicky.
