who else is excited about this?
It's gonna be awesome.
I'm gonna be a battle casting/sword and board dunmer for my first life.
So what is your first character in a TES game?

Torn on whether I'll get this for PC or console. Yeah yeah yeah I know it's blasphemous, but I love playing certain games on console. RPGs being one of them.

Oblivion's combat system was really choppy on the 360.

I just got that impression after you spent 13 pages calling out eladiun for being an interwebs bully when anyone who's been posting on here already knew that. I mean, he's proud of it and hardly tries to hide that at all.

I have been waiting for this since I finsihed Oblivion. I usually play Imperials and go Sword and board Thief/Crafter with a little fireball action until I grind out 100's in everything.

yeah. I am going to have to get it on my 360.
That's ok though, it will look great on my 46 in. Samsung.
It will suck not having Mods.
But I don't care.
@ eldium
yeah it was, but I would all ways sneak attack with a bow and then fireball/ice combo blast the baddies. not much got past that expect for high lvl. Daedra.

My first character was a spellsword. Since they didn't let you make your own class in Arena. I actually went to the Bethesda website and downloaded Arena and Daggerfall to play them again a few months ago in honor of Skyrim's release. I'd have also done Morrowind and Oblivion, but those were lost to my brother (I really should learn to stop lending him games I'll want to play again later).
In general, at the start of a new Elder Scrolls game, though? Usually something that can use a two handed sword, cast spells, and wear armor. You know, a little bit of everything. So, a spellsword. Usually a Breton, if I think I'll be making use of their spell resistance.

I pre-ordered it! I'm so excited! Big Daddy and I spent so much time playing Oblivion. "Okay, you do 2 quests, then let me do 2 quests!" I plan on getting it for the PC, though we played the last one on the PS3.

Really looking forward to Skyrim.
I'm in need of a DDO-break, so this is coming along at the perfect time.
I might miss out on a lot of U12, but from what I've seen of the stuff in U12 I'll be better off spending time playing Skyrim anyways. Not really enthusiastic about anything in U12...

Here's what I saw in the stream last night.
The rivers have a current to them. In oblivion if you can remember, the rivers were still water and that kinda took away from the feeling of a living world.
The game looks harder then oblivion. The guy who was playing got hit only three times by a bear and was dead.
The world looks much darker and gloomier then oblivion.
Environments and weather look fantastic.
that's about it. I stopped watching because he got to the top of a mountain and was about to show part of the story and I can not have that.

Decided I'm gonna try out the PS3 version. I just bought a 7.5' long beanbag to be ultra comfortable while playing this. Be a shame to waste it

oo nice
Details?
The TV I'll be playing on isn't anything spectacular. It's a 32" sony that some friends of mine gave me, since I gave away my old 55" rear projection to my grandma back in May. But it is full HD, and the room it's in is pretty small so I don't think I'll have aaaaaaaany trouble.

Our current one is 8 years old, huge and bulky, not HD, and pretty much a dinosaur by current standards.
We wanted to upgrade - and got a pretty sweet deal on it. Since literally every member of our family played the hell out of Oblivion - this was the excuse we needed to join the modern TV era. lol
