Okay so the game opens in a couple weeks.

Who is playing it?

I am. I'm going to play a Human Smuggler.

Anybody else? My plan to do something together with DDO types for equipment swapping guild type stuff is open to any interested.

Or if somebody else is doing it, I'll join in.

Sweet! I'm playing a Smuggler, Epoch's playing a Jedi as well.

Epoch is likely to get first so pick a server and I'll follow.

I prefer PVE servers though.

I played it at PAX this past summer, and it wasn't my cup'a tea. Have fun, though. Smiley

DDO is the only MMO that I've enjoyed. Just can't stand the standard MMO style. Maybe that'll change when and/or if I put my PC back together.

I've been the same way.  Try DCUO when you get your PC back together, it's the only other MMO that caught my interest.

I only do pve.  If I wanted to do pvp I would do a FPS - like a real gamer instead of being a bitch and trying it on a mmorpg.

Planetside 2 FTW, when it come out. Pside 1 was IMO the best large scale FPS ever. The sheer size of the battles and the tanks, apc and flight capability kicked ass.

I heard that SW: TOR was like WoW with lightsabres. My thoughts on it after hearing that were along the lines of "fuck that".

Might give it a shot, but I think a full blown tower replacement will come before I put up my old one. You'd be amazed how much juice my old one sucks up just to try to keep up. (My eletric bill dropped $60 to & $80 per month after packing it away)

I just downloaded and installed last night. I have to say that running up the tallest building I can find and then jumping into the street is fun as hell. Some stuff I like some I dont but its a good f2p game.

I will try SWTOR for 3 months and reassess then. Even if it's just me exploring their world and finishing their story with one character...it'll be money well spent I think.

Looking forward to the reviews, although a purely sub based game isn't going to do it for me, I think. Hubby is home in two weeks, and then I will be a weekday warrior, so FTP with some premium is more interesting to me overall. Looking for some off games to DDO. Skyrim is pretty but it isn't it - I miss the human interaction.

I am ignorant of minutes, hours fly by and I don't even notice.  All I know are levels and gear.

Someone offered to let me use his early access last night, since he's stuck overseas with limited internet...

I'm tempted, just so I can make fun of my guildies that are banned right now, sitting around doing not much waiting until they get the regular access.   Cheesy
