Siver pretty much summed everything.  Here is what the alignment does though:

1.  You get titles for different levels of dark and light.  Not every stage, but every 2 or so.

2.  Your companions, some like the light, some the silly joke, some the dark, some are more cut to the chase response.

3.  Gear, some gear is restricted to light or dark.  As far as I have seen, the only difference is the names - otherwise stats and whatnot seem to be the same.  Like, "Dread commanders lightsaber" and "Goody halo sunshine of love and tenderness lightsaber"  as examples.

I have already acknowledged that it is dependent on when exactly you finish the prologue. But for the 6th time now I am only giving an average level range of when that is, which is about 16-17. It's really easy to understand unless you are being intentionally obtuse.

And Epoch, again it is NOT misinformation to say the AVERAGE level range is something. It leaves room for people to do it at different times but gives the area you are most likely going to reach a certain go. It really is that simple. My average I initially stated is also, wouldn't you know it, rich in the middle or the average of the level ranges you saw other people getting their ships and when you got yours. It's amazing how that works but can't seem to grasp that simple point.

This is why you are a extremist for your political side.  You have no idea what misinformation is.

My first thought when I saw the question was 'jilling off,' wherein Jill is the feminized equivalent of Jack.

Oddly enough, that actually makes some sense and may find its way into the vocabulary for just such an occasion.

Btw Mem, something else I just thought about that I haven't seen mentioned is the legacy system. At a point in the game you'll be able to pick a surname that will be server wide. And all your toons as you play them afterwards will contribute to legacy points which will open up certain "gifts" as the developers put it.

Zippo, when everyone disagrees with you, chances are, you are wrong.  Think about it for a minute, hell, it might even take you an hour.  That is okay though, I will wait.  One day you will grow up and realize that your blow up doll isn't your girlfriend, when you are the only one defending your stance you are quite possibly wrong, and being too dumb to realize it is even worse.

I haven't tried to change the subject at all.  I use other means to help you to understand.  My problem is thinking that you can actually understand something as simple as common sense, reading comprehension, politics, the difference between levels and quests, bunnies and frogs, and most importantly kangaroos and koalas.

Jesus Christ, saying on average you'll get something in the general area of a level range is not misinformation nor does it make me wrong. As such not everyone has disagreed with my assessment of the venereal level range you'll be when you he your ship. And yes, you keep going back to something that has absurdly nothing to do with this topic in a. Run attempt to not make yoursel look like the raging doosh that you are being over something that was meant as an estimate. Christ Epoch your acting like a damned two year old instead of being able to think it through abstractly enough to figure out that it was meant as a general guideline and not something etched in stone. So your inability to comprehend doesn't make my point any less valid nor does it make it incorrect.

Zippo, everyone has told you that you are wrong.  It isn't level based and ONLY mentioning a level range to get sometihng is incorrect information.  If you would have said, "You are usually around level 16~17 when you complete the storyline on the second planet which is how you get your ship" or something akin - then you would have a leg to stand on.  In fact, then your information would be grade A stuff.  You halfassed your information, and were in effect wrong, then were called on it.  Own up to it and move on.  Facts are facts, and they show you to be an idiot in this situation.

There's no owning up to anything. I gave the level range that the average player will be at when they get their ship. And NO, not everyone disagreed with me. Others have said they were exactly where I based my average on as well as someone else also said they say the same thing when asked and see no issue with it. So just because you want to think you have unfettered support from everyone, doesn't mean you do. And again, just because you can't comprehend that I was giving an estimate that is open to variances and not giving an etched in stone number, doesn't make me wrong. It makes you a moron for not being able to understand a rather simple concept. With that said I have also already agreed that ultimately dependent on when you finish the prologue, but your so hell bent on your doosh tyrade that you can't even recognize that. So GFY until you can figure that out.

This isn't based on your latter agreement to my superior knowledge.  This is based on your original post being wrong, so stop being a bitch and bringing that up.

I will give this one last attempt.

People are running through the game without a ship, on their 3rd and 4th planet.  Do you understand now? Did something in your head finally click? Is there hope for you yet?

Just want to thank everyone again for answering my questions. Smiley

Picked the game up over the weekend, and been playing the hell out of it. Whenever I can get the kids off the PC, that is - and damn their Grandparents for getting them MineCraft, anyways. (one more reason to hate the inlaws, I guess)

I have no idea what server I'm on... it's West Cost, and that's all I know. But, having a total blast with it. The combat is odd after DDO, but the every other aspect of the game is just a breath of fresh air. Still figuring out the classes, and haven't gotten any over 10th yet. Having the most fun on the Imperial Agent and Sith Inquisitor... but I admit to only really playing a Smuggler on Light Side so far.

No ship yet. lol Also haven't dabbled much with the grouping yet.

Got a 60 Day play card, and I think I'm gonna use it to the fullest, see what happens then. Smiley
