You can, but it does require an investment in Wisdom, however even a starting 14 with +6 item, +2 yugo, +2 ship, +2 tome is 26 which is +8ac.

That would mesh well with Half Elf and Cleric Dilly for heal scrolls/raise scrolls.

With an ac mode, you can drop a little hp/heal amp and dps as it isn't something you will swap to in epic.

Key items like Icy's, +8ac bracers (Epic Scorched Bracers with Hvy Fort could replace Claw Bracers) and a source of Protection +5 (min2 hp item?) or even +6 (Epic Ring of the Silver Concord).

Shield Wands are pretty critical for +4ac too, UMD30ish is about what you want for them. Could use lvl5 wands if you don't mind the tedium.

Combat Expertise also you wil lwant, will let you take Improved Trip too if you have room.

Once you get over 70ac every +1, +2 really add up and make a difference.

What level split appeals to you blank?  I may be able to offer some helpful suggestions as well.

ETA:  I got the 12/6/2 part.  Just wondering about the classes you prefer to use the format with.

=36. Plenty.

3 piece abishai is important for AC and DPS.
Grims Bracelet is amazing (+7 strength, +3 dodge, green slot)
+5 protection you'd normally have on your MinII's (probably goggles slot unless you went unarmed and wanted exceptional wisdom there).
Claw Gloves is a given, no point in having the AC if you don't have a little bit of hate to go along with it. But then you need the bracers (good) or the gem (bad). Then you have to ditch the scorched bracers and are left with helm/boots/cloak for abishai set. +8 AC can only go on belt at that stage (epic siren's ward) as you've got icy's on. But then you don't really need the MinII goggles as you have protection +5 and heavy fort covered. LotD is probably required to get +1 dex and +1 wisdom for a potential additional +2 AC.

It's all a bit circular.

Conclusions: Hate is important in a gear set as you lose DPS from taking AC gear. Beyond that? Who knows.

How much time do you have? Personally, I'd put too wacky ideas into the fridge until some enhancement trees are bearing fruit.

grim's bracelet is a nice piece +7 str / +3 dodge

3 piece Abishai set at least is 3 str / 3 to ac

head of good fortune upgraded is +2 dodge

alchemical air/air is nice = 5 ac

min 2 shroud set is nice +4 insight/+2 wis = 5 ac

tod ring +6 dex +1 dex +2 dex can be +2 ac

shield wand +4 ac

just a few things I've listed here can up your ac by 20 easily with a bit of work it can be done

I lose out on dilletante, but with the way humans will have access to every single racial prestige, it works out nicely.
