Quote:I personally liked the UI import functions that Rift had. Everything was movable, but only in a certain screen mode. You could move and resize everything on your hud, then exit that mode and you wouldn't be able to accidentally grab your hotbar or map and drag it halfway across the screen.
That's what kills me.
LotR:O has *exactly that* and it's very well loved.
You smack Ctrl + \ and it shows you what all the windows are, even the invisible ones. You drag them around to your heart's content, then hit the key combo again and your HUD elements CANNOT BE MOVED.
Of course, they don't have the "lock hotbar" that we do in DDO, but you'd think someone would go "That's a great idea! We should write it for DDO!" and then do so. Who knows, maybe they will. I, for one, miss being able to have certain windows pop up in the same place at all times and not having to drag them around every single time.
You can also export and import *most* hotbar/window settings. For some reason you can't do so with ALL of them, but it's better than nothing.
