Epoch, since this was your brain child, what do you think about going for an Int build?  Since you'll have 3rd level Artificer spells, you can go ahead and eschew strength and end up with the same damage modifier by just pumping up your Intelligence and casting Insightful Damage, and you've already got natural synergy with the Drow racial +2 Int.  Plus, then you're guaranteed to be able to do epic traps on top of all of the other advantages of this build. 


I forgot all about trapping! This build would be fantastic levelling too, so an all around winnar!

hmm if you go an int build, insightful reflexes could probably be a better choice than toughness too. 1 saved spell or trap > 80hp that toughness would have netted you.

I really feel like this is starting to come together.

OMG!  I didn't post the stats!  I am sooo sorry folks.  I thought I did, once again, I shouldn't post that trying to beat the clock to get off work.  Ok, here is the stat breakdown: 

Assuming you have only 28 point for the drow, if a tr then 30/32 would be lots better, as always with a multiclass.


Str -16
Dex-16
Con-12
Int-16

Lvl 4 stat boost - dex
lvl 8- int
lvl 12- int
lvl 16- str
lvl 20 str


Now, FULLY geared you will be looking at stats like this:

dex 17+2 enh+7 item+2 tome+1 profane= 28
str 18+10 item+3 tome+3 profane= 34
con 12+2 enh, 7 item, 2 tome, 3 profane= 26
int 16+2 enh, 10 item, 1 profane, 3 tome= 32

When raged your str will be sitting at 42, con at 34.
If you farm madstone boots for the clicky and the proc (thens witch back to abishai boots) and titan gloves, Your str will be in the 50's!  Your con will be sitting at 40.

I updated my main post with a stat breakdown.  If you are dead set on kensai, let me know.  All you do is replace the barb levels with fighter.  I can provide a breakdown of that as well.

I knew posting some dumb shit would pull you jackasses off your chairs!

Also, I said quirky/off-the-wall, not 'you'd need to be a PVS to think this is good'.

I landed an Icy this afternoon so, monk splash/dill is looking like a much stronger possibility.  Figures I would get it now instead of BEFORE getting my ranger life in.

I seem to remember reading that monk dill healing amp AP and actual monk healing amp AP stacked?  I'm missing the triple pos GS though to make a solid healing amp build.

If you have access to hearts of wood, I did q write up on my bards build last life.

14/4 ftr/2 barb, but you could go rogue too. Helf with pally dilly.

I had a 3rd character, bard that I LR'd into a cleric when I decided to TR my main.  I like having a cleric as a fall back position, I'm decent at it and I ain't scared to chug pots to pull a victory from the jaws of stupidity.

I'd thought about Ghengis, but I really don't have the plethora of 2h's available.  I have a Pornifex, Blade of Fury, Cloudburst and that is about where I top out.  With U13 I'll be able to beat the luck monster and land a Terror though, hopefully before it get's nerfed.

I think I'm going to dig into a build with a 12 bard, 6 fighter, 2 rogue & heart in my fighter life.  Elf, a little self healing, CC, & Evasion.  I really dig half elf because of the dilettante, but the extra 2 to hit from elf would be a bit better I think.

I really wish I hadn't tried Arti so early.  Repeaters are sicksicksick when you aren't looking at Epic content.

lol, Current build is a 6 Arti/11 Ranger, last 3 prob fighter, could be bard though, I'll decide when I get there.  Guy I run with is a 7 wiz, 8 fighter, 1 Rogue and the other is a Cleric Arcane Archer.  We take Quirky to Dispel levels of stupidity, laugh about it & TR.  What changed this out is I found I could get more AC going paladin and having holes in gear rather than staying fighter.  We pug some raids that will have us, makes it easy though, bad groups we automatically get rejected from, good groups don't care.

Correct, built that way for the stuff that will land hits regardless of AC.  I'd considered swapping it for Empower Healing.  I don't qualify for the TWF feats or CE that early and didn't want to grab Power Attack there since I was holding it for the monk feat.
