Hey,
Anyone know if the rules for renown farming have changed in the last year? Are the same places to farm from before still the best places to get renown now? Any changes in drop rates noticed?

I have heard there are limits in daily renown a guild can get, but I think TA is high enough level that you shouldn't have an issue with it.
The only farming place I have used is Raiding the Giants Vault. A couple of guildies do really well in eDQ1.
Nilazgrc: For all those familiar with loreseekers/sentinels.... Dont run with Stainer.... Guy is a tool. Black list his toons.
kmack can drive the tractor.

I have two FvS and a monk (in tr mode now) at level 20. When you can ransack it a hour or so. That 25% doesn't mean as much.

IQ/IQ2 is great for renown farming.
For Epics, I agree with the DQ1 idea.
Also, The eVon4 acid chest is nice for farming. A shroud haste and a ToD Necklace invis dosnt wear out and you don't have to fight anything. In 7 runs to ransack you will pull renown 5-6 times, easy. And a good number of them being legendary/impressive. Occasionally you will get a crappy Von seal. When I run it on my Loreseekers toons (90 account guild) I get around 3k renown on average for the 7 runs. On my Sentinels toons (6-7 account guild) I get about 14k. Takes about 15-20 minutes.

This is great, especially in an all guild run. Loreseekers have been doing a weekly manyshrouds run on Saturday mornings/afternoons for about 8 months. 3-4 runs strictly for renown. The guild gets about 10k per run. (Again, large guild no bonuses). A smaller guild could easily tear up 30-40k. More if folks will invest in a guild elixer pot for the runs. (Depends on how serious you are).
TA is 74, right? That's where the decay really starts to bite hard, as I recall. And it doubles on a per account basis from 75 and 85.

Yeah, we are 74. I calculated and we should peak at 94 with our current rate of accumulation. It will just take us a LONG time to get there.

Three options:
1) Coordinate some renown earning events and make renown gathering a focus.
2) Steal some hard renown-hittin MF'ers from other guilds to go to work for you.
3) Jettison the dead weight in the guild roster.
I'm not sure a guild like TA has a lot of dead weight though. You guys seem to stay lean and you have the Avengers in Exile to keep alt accounts from bloating your count.
That leaves you with focusing game time on renown earning activities or it's time to do some recruiting.

Solo chest farming eDQ1 (invis) nets a shit ton of renown/hour, as well as a few seals. 3 chests a run, almost always a trophy or victory in each chest. My melee runs through at around 6-8 minutes a run, depending on if I fuck up and get my invis dispelled in the center.

Raiding the Giant's Vault works for me, as well.
If I have a team of people online at once, other Inspired Quarter/Dreaming Dark quests are good, as well. Special thanks to the Gold Farmer guild Catmeter for initially point out to everyone that IQ is fast, good for plat, and apparently good for renown. Named items out of 7~8 minute Mindsunders are pretty hot, as well. Going to be Ransacking this come U13.

Isn't the renown pulled downgraded when you are running a quest overlevel?

I kinda vaguely remember someone talking about using one of their level 18 mules for farming renown out of that quest. I didn't bother asking at the time why the level 18.

My guild's favorites for renown farming:
Epic Partycrashers and Elite Schemes of the Enemy - 8 chests in about 20 minutes
eVON3 also has a comparable number of chests in a similar timeframe
Added: oh, and the full token and collectibles (fragrant drowshood and lightning split soarwoods) are added bonuses for epic Partycrashers

Yesterday's ePC run netted med eberron shard, med eberron shard, lightning split soarwood all in a row. I've gotten more eberron shards in there alone than everywhere else combined.
