Most of the in-quest stuff is a little obvious (killing puppies in hound or the like). There's not much humor value in that.

If you want to be obnoxious, forcing certain kinds of disconnects will kill kobold pathing in any kind of crystal collecting quest (Cove/Challenges). This is probably the purest form of wasting people's time that you can manage.

For the emerald claw one, Cursed Crypt doesn't require re-flagging, as long as you don't pick up the necro 3 quests. You can re-run it as much as you like, assuming you bothered to flag in the first place.

Just noticed that I left out harbor chat gems like /death count, my bad.

This information is not correct.  What causes them to spawn (may not be exact) is having someone jump around in the area with the ladders - high jump needed.

I had this happen a little while ago. Elite at level for streak and had 2 PUGgers, one I knew was pretty decent, the other was an unknown, and a cleric hireling.

He must have done what you are describing, then DC'd and dropped.  We did die a couple times each, but between UMD and the hireling we managed to clear the maze both top and bottom. Fun times.

In the long long ago, it did work on every summon. Hell, just leaving an instance would cause your summon to attack the nearest party member.

Those were good days. Smiley Loved the rc race it provoked.

Let's see..  My contributions...

Mobs in Gianthold outdoor area don't leash.  So if you have afk party members in front of pretty much any quest entrance...  We had one guildie actually be motivated enough to drag the mind flayer all the way to the door of PoP to kill someone.

Zoning out of Ghola fan after a quest completions, breaking open the doors to spawn all the mobs, and then hopping back into the quest real quick works.

They've fixed my 2nd favorite.  I did it all the time in guild chat and twice in a public area, once during an event Aussie was holding.  I believe the full text was as follows:

Okay<li><rgb=#FF0000>(WORLD BROADCAST): [WORLD BROADCAST] THE SERVER WILL BE SHUTTING DOWN IN 30 SECONDS FOR A REBOOT.  LOG OFF ASAP.

It would come out looking like this:
Quote:
(General): [Strakeln] Okay
(WORLD BROADCAST): [WORLD BROADCAST] THE SERVER WILL BE SHUTTING DOWN IN 30 SECONDS FOR A REBOOT.  LOG OFF ASAP.

Anyway, after the time I used it during Aussie's event, I decided it would be safer to convince others to use it in public areas.  I think Strecth got a couple day ban from that, lol.

I used a wonderful grief tactic last night in PoP.

Step one - Pull the lever.
Step two - Wait till one mob left.
Step three - Pull the lever.
Step four - Have one person in the room to try and get the orbs.
Step five - Pull the lever.
Step six - While that person is still confused, mainly as to why they cannot grab orbs and suddenly taking damage, giggle over voice chat.
Step seven - ????
Step eight - Profit.

After a whipe in "Behind the Door", having 3 stars and 4 minutes left, tell somebody "Quick, release and enter again, we may get the 4th star".

After the second portal on the way to Hound turn around and use the rune there and sneak off quickly along. They can get a more interesting fight than just a couple of Reavers.

Guilty of this one. Listeneing to the comments afterward is priceless. I got a group who was in the Vale and GTed them to the Forge.

Wow, you love me. There has been two big lag fixes in the past week. No, those are not going out with a hotfix. They are more wide ranging and take more time to test.
Of course every time you get like this, I keep wondering where your MMO is so I can play it. Obviously you know excatly how to piece one of these together. I can't keep apologizing a gazillion times for the back end tech and things people did on this game before I was even an employee. So one last time, yes some of the stuff from the before times sucks. Sorry about that. Yes we know, stop building new systems. Yes we know, finish the ones out there. Yes we know you hate bards.

And screw you for bringing up the laid off folks. That sucks every time. I made sure all my people landed in other jobs real quick. None of my 'casualties' are unemployed, just sadly not employed by Turbine. Every business goes through this.Even Valve has layoffs. It sucks every time. If you haven't had to do it then you just don't know. Picking people and knowing you are about to turn their life upside down is terrible, every time.
Not giving a bleep. No, I stop listening when the bile starts. Not worth my sanity. You know my rule, treat me like a human and I'll do the same back. When the rage train starts...cya.
So here is my peace out of the vault for a while. Thanks for the list Ranger, that was actually clear and helpful.

I like to pull the rune on the way to hound, before the xoriat area. It spawns a devil who teleports around attacking everyone and cursing them so they can't be healed. Fun fun

I got the most awesome "GT to Twilight Forge" a couple weeks ago on someone who did not have the Twilight Forge Pack.

You can't enter the cave to get GT'ed back.

Only options are to /death or, I guess, buy the Twilight Forge pack (or bracelet of friends)

Been noticing several Hard and Elite Shroud PUGs now, with the abundance of over-level 20s. Of course, since it's a PUG, you still get your unprepared n00bs with less than 300 hp.

Blades hit hard, so on part 4, kill the devils and draw blade aggro.
Run around and kite the blades towards your victim of choice.

Usually you get several people running around avoiding the blades, so it's hard to get pinned as the one with the aggro.
