Quori stat damage (Read 6609 times)

	Different Quori critters cause Cha stat damage. After I run out of Cha, I'm kind of fucked. Anyone have suggestions on how to deal with this as a Pale Master? The only thing that I've come up with so far is to just not go in Lich form and chug restore pots, but restore pots/scrolls don't work on Pale Masters in undead forms. Am I missing some protection/cure/whatever? Or do I just need to avoid Lich form when I fight nightmare creatures?

	as a pale master I am not sure theres any recourse for ya but don't fret you are a massively overpowered killing machine everywhere else and its not that hard to just UMD some heal scrolls and rock without undead mode for awhile

	I'm curious if harm will remove stat damage when in undead form. Personally, I think it's stupid that PMs take stat damage while undead but are immune to so many other things: level drain, blasphemy stun, horrid wilting etc etc. We still take stat damage, and we still drown. WTF?

	Harm does not remove stat damage AFAIK. In Dreaming Dark, I just drop form and hit a panacea clickie if I take too much cha damage.

Trash is easy.� Eye of the Titan isn't bad on Elite.� The Dreaming Dark fight still kills me on Elite because I have trouble keeping my Cha up for the whole fight.� I also tried summoning a mummy to slow down his regeneration, but the mummy never landed a curse on him.� � [sadface]

	Oh, DD elite, I ddin't pay attention if you mentioned that before. Displace, never stop moving, and have striders 30%. Be aware of where they spawn at and where they are and kill kill kill asap. I cannot say much else, I have never had a problem with it.

	Harm doesn't cure stat effects.

	When I was on my wiz's PM life I carried a +6 Cha cloak for those few quests that this happens in. Nothing like getting the an IQ/DD boss down to a sliver and having to kite for 3 mins while you Cha rebounds.

	I'm going to be the naysayer here and say that Harm does, indeed, cure stat damage. I'll see if I can get a test video up for everyone some time today. Maybe if my testing partner is super patient, I can get Harm Spell, Harm Scroll, and Circle of Hatred.

	Enemy-cast Harm may not provide the stat-healing effect (I haven't tested that), but friendly Harms will cure all stat damage on PMs. It's especially annoying because PMs are immune to str/dex/con damage, just not int/wis/cha.

	Interesting. I do not have the circle of hatred so I just use harms from enemy casters. They tend to only cast it when you are grped though. Annoying.

Couldn't get anyone to test it with me today, I'll test this tomorrow. Note : Apparently Circle of Hatred is Self-only, and I don't own one. So, I won't be able to test that. Sorry, thought it was a clickie similar to the spell in all aspects. So I'll just be testing the Spell/Scroll when the time comes.

	Pretty sure Harm scrolled on self does, I've done it before. It may have changed of course. Shame you can't buy them like Heal scrolls.

I used it in the past and it worked fine for me. Grab the scrolls, go into VON2 and hang with the spiders for awhile. Just don't go to 0 or you can't cast from scrolls.

	Must be enemy casters harms that dont then. Damn, I really really want that circle of hatred now.

Regarding Circle of Hatred: I think it pertains to "New" Circles of Hatred.� I'm waiting for someone with an old one to swap, and we're going to test it, and then I'll mash up the videos and upload them. Edit : Then again, I don't own one, so don't take this as Gospel.

	Okay, video is up! Give it a minute for Youtube to finish processing it, and it should display at "Original" 1920x1200 resolution in a few minutes. Since it's short, I don't think it'll take long to process. Results - Harm Spell cured stat damage. Harm Scroll cured stat damage. Old Circle of Hatred cured stat damage. No idea on the New Circle of Hatred. Maybe I'll get off my lazy ass and start running it on Dalzeil to find out.
