THF info for feats.

I am in search of.

As per my understanding from a long time ago, when just doing the first two interrupt first two attacks rinse repeat was the way to go.  Is it still that way or is getting feat line and enhancements worth it?

single target twitching is still best
if you've got 3 or more mobs in front of you the feats pay off.

personally i only bother with 2hf feats on my s/b tank and my fighter.

note. i'm not sure how this applies to half orc, their animation is fucked up and i've not yet bothered to figure it out.

Right, I forgot about H-Orc attack difference.  My guy is a H-Orc if that makes the difference for anyone who has tested it.  Twitch still better on single mobs though, good.  That frees up some feats and AP.

What class? If Barb, SC twitch is (/was?) the new twitch.

Barb with 3 THF feats - Don't twitch unless your glancing blows are doing no damage due to DR.
Fighter with 3 THF feats - Twitch with haste boost, pretty close with no haste boost

Everyone else - Twitch and ignore THF feats

The two handed fighting feats do only one thing.  They add "glancing blows" damage to everything around you.  The problem is, that it only procs when you are standing still.

So if you are twitch fighting (basically constantly moving to interrupt the attack animation to get an overall faster number of attacks) it doesn't do a damn thing for you.

Twitching is tactic to gain in attack speed by interrupting your attack motion after the 2nd swing since the last 2 motions of the 4 is slower.

Glancing blows is better with a barb as a class thing. Because their glancing blows are boosted it would be better just to sit there and autoattack with thf feats rather than twitching.

Glancing blows are not boosted for other classes, so for thf versions of other classes that are lacking in feat it is viable to just twitch instead for a slight increase in dps than if you had the full thf feat.

That's the general, general stuff. Other factors include the fort of the mob you're fighting, what kind of boost are you using, what weapon are you using, what bonuses to damage do you have and of course strength. That complicates it a bit.

Also just sitting there with auto-attack going is easier if you are just lazy. luckily my only THF is a barb so the differences is small. Just like my contribution to the party.

Pallies occasionally have to-hit issues. If this is a first lifer, you should keep that in mind when deciding to twitch or not to twich.

True.

I do not know why people insist on pointing out that Epoch is an ass in our runs. If anything, Epoch goes out of his way to assure that everyone is aware he is an ass. Fortunately he is our ass, despite not getting buffs often, he is better about saying "OMG just reroll" to us so often.

Its not like you Gawna. At first people think "Awww, a girl. She sounds sweet." Then they hear "QUIT HITTING THE FUCKING CAT! I AM STUCK IN A WALL! SUCK MY FAT FUCKING LABIA!"

I like to lull people into a false sense of security.  I like to wait until everyone thinks we're having a good time before I unleash.  Unlike some people (stainer) that I know that say, "I AM KICKING THE NEXT PERSON THAT SAYS THE WORD SHIP BUFF!  Oh, hey Lenny, we just had a spot open up for you!"

If your pally has to-hit issues, you might want to learn how to gear and build a pally.  I appreciate your willingness to comment, not really.

Mine doesn't. Many do.

Since I didn't know your build, or what kind of gear you'd have available, I was merely pointing out that having only +16 BAB instead of +20/20/25/30 can make a big difference against high AC targets, and Paladins don't get as many to-hit bonuses to ameliorate this as other melees.

If only there were spells that a Paladin could take that would boost their to-hit.

You'd think with as much as a paladin supposedly sacrifices for their deity, that a to-hit increase would be seen as a minor favor.

Sarcasm aside, I didn't say Paladins got 0 bonuses to attack, just that they got fewer than the others.

How many do you need on a full BAB class?  Are you a finesse halfling pally or just a whiner?
