The adantage of kosher salt is more for how you use it, not in any particular taste difference.  The coarser texture lets you grab a pinch more easily while cooking.  It also has the advantage of making you use less than you think you are.  A 1/4 cup of table salt could weigh as much as a half cup of kosher.

Kosher salt definitely has its uses. I have regular salt, kosher salt, garlic salt, French sea salt, and Sicilian sea salt. And yes, the different sea salts taste differently.

Different sea salts do have a noticeable taste difference, as does the Himalayan Pink mentioned earlier.  The problem is you usually put the salt on other food, and the combination of 'Food X + Salt' overpowers the difference you're likely to taste between a Caribbean salt vs. a Mediterranean salt or whatever.

It depends on what you're putting it on. I use it for specific things, and it's noticeable then. Like French chicken in a pot tastes amazing with a little French sea salt. And Tuscan bruschetta is definitely different with Sicilian sea salt. It matters more if it's something where the salt will sit on top and only partially melt, and the other flavors aren't overpowering.
