Holy shit.  I know a lot of you Vault-izens are noobs and probably agree with this loser, but I can't believe what a load of shit this is.

Carry my fucking gimpass bitch-toons through quests and raids you mutha fuckin elitists!

http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=369879
Melees aren't supposed to have reliable self healing and nobody is supposed to be soloing content above Normal difficulty.

So here's an idea:
How about people stop requesting more self healing for melees? Seriously. You're melee. Not a healer. You're not supposed to self heal. Is this hard to understand? Classes for the most part are well rounded. Just because some Specialists can self heal doesn't mean every character has to now.

And stop screening PUGs for people who might as well be soloing with hirelings. If you can Nuke bosses out of existence, have an SP pool of 4000 and can survive 10 hits from an Orthon on elite, while being an excellent trapmonkey, then that's great, more power to you.

Yet the thing is, the game isn't designed for you. People who calculate the best possible solution to any situation are never the target audience. Why? Because you're not the majority. Most people play games. Just simply play them. They pick up a game and do whatever has to be done, learning on the spot, acting on the situation.

When you plan everything ahead and memorize the utmost intricacies of the smallest aspects of the game, you people tend to forget what this game is about. Co-operation.

Co-operation in this game means:
Well rounded veteran characters playing together with characters who are new to the content, characters who are a specialized build and might not be so relevant in the given quest, characters who are using an experimental build, characters who role play and have a gimpy role-play build and characters who are just plain okay.

No, these people aren't supposed to group up into different guilds to play together.

You are all supposed to play together. So the next time you rage out of a party, ask yourself:
Did that stupid noob not play the game right? Or did you all just fail at co-operating?
Yea, most responses are massaging this guy's limpness...  I don't get it, but I can't say what I really think on the official forums w/o getting infractions.

I don't want to get banned like Shade.

This is a co-op game and people should be prepared to cooperate if they go into a party with other people.

But it's also a solo game for anyone who doesn't happen to be in a party.

I don't see why people think that those two concepts are in conflict.

Indeed.  I don't get why people who "DONT TELL ME HOW TO PLAY THIS GAME!!!" flip out and TELL ME that I HAVE to group with them in quests and raids because THIS IS A CO-OP GAME!!!

"Don't tell me to MIN/MAX!"
"Don't tell me not to dump CON!"
"Don't tell me how to play my toon!"

"YOU MUST PARTY WIF ME! No matter how much I suck, or can't contribute, or don't listen... because...

that's how this game was MEANT** to be played... CO-OP!"

roffle...

Yes it's a co-op game, but if I want to Solo Elite quest then I just want.

Oh well, I just had to go to put my paper in the ballot box for the first round of Who's going to be the Top Frog for the 5 next years today, and the idea didn't appeal me I know now what I can do.

I have to agree that I LOLed when I saw that jackass' post. And I cried when I saw people agreeing with him -- I mean, shit. If you need a divine to nanny you, you've already failed the fucking game, "personal choice" and "I want to play my way" aside.

This game is *meant* to be played by one or more self-sufficient individuals running a quest at an appropriate difficulty to match their skill. I am so sick of fucktards who see "BRAVERY BONUS" and think that they're entitled to it. You're not brave if you have to have a nanny keep you on your feet in an elite quest. I mean, shit.

Was running a new toon through the harbor tonight, and we had some total wet-behind-the-ears join us for Garrisons. Came in, died a few times, group was very nice about it. And then rage quit after his 3rd or 4th death (the group had split) because "this should be easier" and "the cleric went the other way" and "I just don't get this game."

./rant.

I wish I could see recent ddo forum post history directly when I MyDDO these morons so I know to decline them faster.

EDIT: I found this rather ironic. It's a post by the OP in another thread.
A person who scams idiots is a good person in my book. You don't want to be scammed, then stop being an idiot. Stop being politically correct.

It's not like this guy hacked into your friend's account and assumed an indiscernible alias of a trustworthy person. If you'd put in that sword, even as a new player, and just give it to him without question, you better believe you deserve to have lost the sword. Lesson learned and maybe next time you will pay attention.

Well then this is a good learning experience, isn't it?

Stop trying to apply a no child left behind viewpoint to every freaking thing. I don't scam people for a living, nor do I do it in DDO, but it is how it is.
I want to make it perfectly clear, that even though this is a co-op game that can be soloed...I don't need a divine to nanny me.

In fact, I can do quite well without it as long as I'm not soloing.
