HElf melee FvS - pimp or gimp?

Even with eSoS and eClaw set I get frustrated as DPS feels mediocre compared to my pure melees.

1.  It doesn't matter on trash.
2.  On everything else, you are supposed to use divine punishment as well.  No save, massive damage. 
3.  You probably shouldn't play classes you cannot figure out.

Trash is probably where I notice it most, when there's not enough SP or time to triple stack DP on everything.

I don't have an esos or eclaw on my fvs and she lays it down. FvS are pretty much my favorite (w/a splash of Barb and Fig of course).

It feels that way because it is.


BUT, as epoch referenced, when you fight bosses you better be stacking DP as well. Then your total dmg output is disgusting.

For trash there is BB.
  
A half-dozen boss Vaulties donated generously with real money to my classroom during a fundraiser in May 2015 to get poor kids books to read. I won't forget that. They know who they are, and they freaking rule.

I disagree. Even half dmg hits will clear trash faster than meleeing them in most cases.

/signed a guy who just TRed a horc "dps" melee cleric decently geared into a clonk because my crappy bbs with no smiting did better than I did swinging a lit2.
