Tough choices for MotU Kensai

Looking to the free feat respec for my HOrc THF Kensai, there are some very difficult choices fitting in all the feats needed.

18 feats for a non-Human Kensai 20 -

1. THF
2. ITHF
3. GTHF
4. WF (Overwhelming Critical prereq)
5. WS
6. GWF
7. GWS
8. SWF (Kensai III prereq)
9. PA
10. Cleave (Overwhelming Critical prereq)
11. Great Cleave (Overwhelming Critical prereq)
12. Imp Crit
13. Improved Sunder
14. Dodge
15. Mobility
16. Spring Attack
17. Whirlwind
18. Toughness

Epic feats -

1. Overwhelming Critical
2. eToughness (requires 21 base Con)

Feats that just can't be fit in -

1. mjore Toughness!
2. Khopesh if you're TWF
3. Quickdraw (but Cleave can be used in the 'dead' time after boost activation instead)
4. Power Critical (actually adds 2 damage per swing with eSoS)
5. Pally PLF
6. Combat Expertise
7. Stunning Blow

Any thoughts?

**edit** I guess Khopesh users will have to take the feat as one of their epic ones (or not at all). It's not like they're going to have the 21 Con for eToughness like a THF Kensai will. So, whilst not nerfed, Khopesh Kensai will be 'squishier' by about 75HP.

I did not think SWF was a Kensei III prereq. Re-check that?

Edited:
Just checked and indeed, SWF IS required for Kensei III. Looks like your feat selection is pretty good then.

I'm not sold on Whirlwind.  Why do you want it so badly?

The Dodge from Dodge/Mobility/Spring Attack is ok, but that's a huge investment for 7% Dodge. Also, if you plan on tanking, your Dodge will be capped if you use Heavy Armor (Dodge % cap = MDB).

Quickdraw is a waste of a feat.  I don't care how much the max DPS guys says it shaves off 0.6 sec from boosts, it's not worth a feat slot.

More Toughness isn't necessary unless you're going to tank.  If you're going to tank, you'll be Stalwart Defender over Kensei.

Combat Expertise is bunk unless you plan on gearing out as a tank, or purchasing the Improved CE ability from Legendary Dreadnought (for 13% damage reduction).  15% to AC on a DPS focused toon isn't as much as you think it is.

The 10% Doublestrike from capstone is awesome, but you'll get a lot more damage mitigation out of 1 level of Rogue with the Hamstring feat.  It's completely OP since it works on purple named mobs.

Prerequisite: Combat Expertise, Spring Attack (which would require Dodge and Mobility as well), base attack bonus of +4 or higher

Yup I forgot CE was mandatory, so I'd have to drop Imp Sunder or Toughness to fit it in.

Any melee (except a pure Barb) not spamming Imp Sunder in a raid isn't pulling his weight so I can't drop that.

Without Toughness, with a 21 base Con, +7 Con item and a +45HP GS item I'd only be sitting at 510HP so I can't drop Toughness either IMO.

So that's my mind made up not to take Whirlwind.

Also, not taking Khopesh Proficiency is a pretty bold move, assuming you still want to use these weapons.

That's not opinion, that's science. And science is one cold hearted bitch with a 14 inch strap on.

Honestly, no it's not.  On a Kensai with the current To-Hit formula with the Update, -4 per a swing is shit and will amount to no noticeable difference in To-Hit.

I just got that impression after you spent 13 pages calling out eladiun for being an interwebs bully when anyone who's been posting on here already knew that.  I mean, he's proud of it and hardly tries to hide that at all.

Honestly, I think the only way this would work would be to drop the thf line. Your aoe dmg is still going to be higher if u spam cleave/great cleave/whirlwind attack but you will lose single target dps.

I went through this and in the end decided to not take whirlwind. Id rather keep my toon over 800hp.

Also, penis.

So Hamstring slows down the attack speed of everyone, not just Pit Fiends now?
