	Had this happen to me recently while doing challenges, and couldn't find the private button. I would enter a challenge, and it would create a LFM for anyone to join. Had to keep kicking people, or take a few seconds to open the social panel and delist the posting. http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=382505 Post #9

	I've found that when I'm running challenges with guildies, if someone other than the leader goes in first it usually makes the group public. I guess a short term solution would be to grab a random guildy to group with you while you run, since it never happened when the leader went in first.

	Either that, or they just want the servers to look active with all the public LFMs that auto-spampopulate the social panel now.

	I think the devs thought that random PVP warzones were awesome in SWTOR and tried to implement some shit version of it.

If the last regular quest you did was set to public, then it will default for any challneges. SUPER annoying. So you have to go enter a normal quest and put your default back to private. It took me faming challenges and having to change the publicness OVER AND OVER till I almost and exploded and then found the answer.

	A half-dozen boss Vaulties donated generously with real money to my classroom during a fundraiser in May 2015 to get poor kids books to read. I won't forget that. 	Was doing some vale farming yesterday and after accepting someone my LFM went public. Not sure how or why as the only thing I did was accept them. I was in the middle of the quest each time. Believe both times the person was in Merida when I accepted if that matters. Has to take it down and put it back up to get rid of the public setting.

Did you pop back out, or check the window at a regular quest if you had it defaulted to private or public? Haven't heard of someone joining causing a reset of the group settings.

	dubyprime wrote on Jul 6^th, 2012 at 9:03pm: I think the devs thought that random PVP warzones were awesome in SWTOR i like the idea of comparing an automatic public lfm to random pvp warzones. some pugs sure feel like you're at war with certain players, instead of in a group with them trying to get a quest done... and i'm sure that my group leader had fun when i was the first to step into an area: i made the mistake of auto-selecting (as in: not actively selecting...) public, and the very second that the lfm went up, he had applicants to an lfm that he never wanted to post... ever since, i do pay attention to whether it's auto-public or not. who would want to do things in public that were meant to be private, hehe.
