Talk to Elminster in the village square!!!

So if you don't properly finish the intro to Eveningstar stuff by talking to Elminster in the village square, he will not be by the tree to give you Caught in the Web.   

So you can't pick up the raid until that is done.   
Though your map will blink like Elminster is there.   

Elminster can be in the square or by the tree, or both at the same time(He's elminster he can be in two places at once)

If he is not in the correct location for you, relog or swap instances and he was fixed for me.

Hope that helps anyone who gets stuck trying to pick up the raid like I did.

Doesn't he move locations only if you do all the campaign quest tutorial (binding at the tavern, talking to some quest givers)?

I didn't have to bind..
Had already talked to all the quest givers, just hadn't talked to him.   
Yeah you may have to do that campaign intro crap.

sometime back we asked for FR and turbine said its old sch and wanted ebberon so they can develop the way they want..... looking at this.... heh

Not sure if you've been keeping up with any Turbine/DDO stuff, but check out this youtube channel from Turbine.
They discuss the expansion and going into FR.

on a lighter note, i started ddo like 3mths late, it was fine for a while and then turbine stopped updates and had limited contact with the players (the first exodus). some of us stuck it out and continued. we gave suggestion on how to improve and of coz dnd biggest draw is the FR series and as expected people want that. some dev came in and said thats not possible (cant remember if it was an interview or what) due to "limited" width of expansion (ebberon is a "new" realm with more exploration possible) plus all the canon details (drizzt would be really gimped compared to ddo rangers, fuck! my wizard is more elminster than elminster) and rest were just like blah blah blah no FR blah blah blah fuck FR blah blah blah only ebb blah blah blah we not going to listen shit

yeap they sold out...
