This may be old but I was bored earlier and perusing the Player's Guide to Eberron:

Khyber is the world within the world- the darkness that lurks deep beneath stone and soil.  Hundreds of legends speak of the horrors hidden in this land.  Grimlocks and ancient fiends inhabit cities filled with darkness so deep that even goblin eyes cannot pierce it.  Herds of gorgons graze on fields of stalagmites.  Massive dragonshards lie scattered throughout subterranean valleys, each burning with the vile essence of a bound demon.  But these rumors and folk tales cannot be fully confirmed, for few who venture down into the depths of the Dragon Below return to tell thier stories.
