See? That was Epoch style. Epoch style is an overwhelmingly viscous death. Epoch style is quick and brutal and as such is not to have any punctuation for efect. JC style relies on psychological and well as physical torture and is meant to be an agonizingly slow and drawn out death. If death the mercy of death is granted at all. It is better off with punctuation for emphasis than without.

Bah. You are just reading the wrong fan-fiction. There is good and bad fan-fiction. Most of it is really bad with the same level of writing skill that Dracosanct just displayed but a few gems are really good. And if you only read the good ones the abominations that try to pass as writing don't matter.

Plus in fan-fiction there is nothing holding you back from doing stuff like having a pony get staked to the floor with a dozen railroad spikes and gang raped. Or butcher children. Or get thrown onto a organ harvesting machine.
