I ended up switching to a Siren and I really like it even though I thought I wouldn't.  That phaselock shit comes in handy, even though I yell at the screen because it always happens like this:

Big Daddy has played the soldier (his favorite so far), assassin, gunzerker and mechromancer.  That mechromancer bot is fucking bananas.

Played with two other commandos last night.
-we all had the rockets and two gun turrets skill tree going.
-Each of us had on 30%+ team regen shield mods on.


no words can describe how awesome it was.


If anybody wants to play on xbox Grave Vader1 is my GT

all I have is a lvl 40 commando right now though......

Just picked this up a few days ago, and holy shit is it a good time. Smiley  Haven't been able to narrow down a class to play yet - but so far really liking Zero and Salvador. And Axton. Aaand Maya.


And my wife wants to kill me, but both my kids are co-oping BL2 with a Salvador/Gaige combo. I haven't played Gaige yet - but she seems pretty fun, if overpowered.

I like the dual turret with rocket launchers better myself.  Just preference though.

Friend has Zero in TVHM.  He one shots entire bandit camps including bad asses.  Remember, you have to aim for the head with the sword.  You'll land crits for '1000k' and up if built right.

Can't believe I never noticed this thread before.
As for Zer0's special doing zero, you just have to learn to use it properly.  It's amazingly powerful when utilized the way it was intended.  It just isn't a fire & forget like some of the others.  It needs to be used strategically instead.
Zer0 is actually my favorite, specifically because he's so versatile, and much of that versatility comes because of his special.
Are you honestly going to tell me that +600% melee damage or +200% gun damage AND 250% crit damage (and with 3 seconds to aim while hidden, you BETTER fucking crit a headshot) is worth nothing?  That's one shot type shit on anything but a boss.  Grab a bladed pistol for +50% melee damage and a sniper rifle for general use.  Have an automatic of some sort and/or a shotgun in your 3/4 slots as a backup to your pistol for bosses where the sniper rifle is less useful.
His special is also a great Oh Shit button. Hit it and grab some cover, your shield recharges and you can jump back in.
If you think his special is worthless, then you're using his special incorrectly.
He's an absolute killer, both from range and in melee.

Got annoyed over the Bee nerf and hacked up a few characters and abused the game before I quit.  Axton with dual turrets, and rockets, AND nukes is just plain fun.
