yeah this sucks I never played Ico and shadow was a fucking insane game.

My little brother had a 360 I think.
He sold it and bought a ps3
ICO is fun so far. It is one big escort mission though lol.

I just got done with Dead Island.
That game is full of coyles that need to go places.
Me: yo brah, get in this truck and I will run over zombies like a boss!
ope the indian: no I'm good. lets walk through this jungle full of zombies while I tell you the story of my people.
Me: well fuck. ok. you want a weapon? I got guns and shit.
ope: no i'm good. this stick I just picked off the ground will protect me.

11 hours of that or a variation of.
so yeah, I'm a little jaded about escort missions right now.

Things ICO does right about the escort mission:
No health bars
You can grab the npc and lead her around
literally
by the hand.
It is part of the game from the beginning.
No stupid terrain issues.
Npc can follow any terrain you can, other than a few obvious bits (narrow rock ledges, chains hanging from the ceiling, falls slightly higher than normal)
Things ICO did wrong:
If you leave the npc alone in another area for too long, one of the spirits can appear and try to take off with her, which is one of the only Lose Conditions of the game.
However, this is also a plot device, and it makes sense.

Beat ICO in about 4 1/2 hours.
2 of the trophies are for beating it in under 2 and 4 hours each. There's also a deathless trophy and a 2nd playthrough condition trophy.
Challenge accepted.

Almost deathless, but rushing+platforming=bad idea.
But I did get the 4 hour and the new game plus trophies. Apparently, there's secret weapons I missed also. Might have to try for them too and practice for the two hour run.
