I think it's Khyber that usually follows our server crashes in the cluster.

And the HP Laserjet printer is also a model sold around Y2K

All this tells me this data center is a third world data center or the bedroom of a geek, even in 2006 all that was old systems. Come on, I dumped this kind of systems ( recycled from work ) from home use 3 years ago
( Namely : 1 Sparc Classic, 1 Ultra 2 and 1 Ultra 1 )  to replace them by a brand new Ultra 45.

Oh and I'm not even going to try to chase down the Noname PC boxes... they are things that have not been seen for at least 10 years.

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if the game was getting ready to end with the server crashes it's been having. That's just me, though.

It's disappointing, but eventually all things have to end. That expansion must have been less successful than they'd planned, or the bean counters determined that DDO's hit that threshold where it's not worth fixing it any more.

This happened to Khyber in the first year - except there was more posts by them saying "No, it is your machine and not our servers". They finally put it on new hardware and it became on par with the other crappy servers.

I am hoping Mournlands (semi-alpha) has some additional hardware from the main clusters as they actually try to mirror the real world code from production before doing their mods (as opposed to the previously assinine of maintaining different code bases on alpha, beta, production).

That, or they gave notice that they are moving data centers again and that center is giving them the "treatment".

this isnt true now. internap provides their backend. its software problems.
