	It's the same concept Microsoft used with PC's and activation requirements for Windows OS, MS Office, etc. Not surprising.

After that games developers will have to have their games on it, as it will be The Reference Console. Just consider the following : In a typical European family home, where the net link is usually either in the living room or in a room with the computer... There's wifi, but due to the wals ( concrete, stones, ... )

Sony specifically said that their console will play used games. What they were not clear on however is if those used games will need an authentication from the online store to play..
