...is never gonna happen. I need a pally past life though. Think of hitting lvl 18 and TRing immediately.

Preferance would be 9 monk levels because I love punching stuff in the face. I have no fucking idea how to play an arti, I have no xp stone or lesser heart, I'm flat broke and I'm stingy.

Suggestions welcome.

Replace the Rogue with Arti for sometimes useful leverbitch and +1 weapons
Or say fuckyou to trapskills & partially useful umd and take druid for Rams Might.

I don't feel like trapping while rest of the group zergs past the traps anyway. I'd rather be up front punching stuff in the face.

I actually had fun with light last life as hamp+FoL+vampirism=godmode so I might stick with that again. ToD is nice but it's gonna take forever to fill up with sorc in the group. Had an idea of 9mnk/9pal/2rgr and puttin manyshot in for shits n giggles. Would that work?

@Luxgolg anything with more than 9 paladin levels makes me want to bang my head against a brick wall.

it's heroic (elite) leveling you can do 1d13 for first class, 1d12 2nd class, 1d11 3rd class followed by 1d3 which class to level next for each level and still steamroll shit if you have the playerskill/twink gear

Can't do druid and paladin together.

IMO the 9 monk 1 rogue 10 whatever tr zerg build died the day they changed ac. I did all my past lives as a monk for the untouchable ac, but without it, it's not worth it. Unless you have only monk gear or whatever.

Just make a standard paly with 2 fighter or monk if you need feats. It will be just as functional as the monk split. Twf or thf depending on what gear you have.

I made a standard pally already. It has fucking awesome DPS, can tank the shit out of everything, has evasion, over 1k HP and can self heal. Only problem with it is that it's a 12mnk/8ftr and I really need a pally life.

Straight or mild split pally is nowhere close to the 9 monk split.

The monk is faster, free invis (when invis works) way more dps, etc.

Even leveling after the AC change wasn't a huge deal, you just have to occasionally look at the screen.

9 monk gets you improved evasion, stunning fist (huge dps increase), does away with your need for invis clickies/scrolls, constant 25% incorp, extra speed and strong unarmed damage. I really don't see how a pure kotc/hotd pally would compare.

The monk build is still a breeze to level, sure, but so is a straight up paladin. It's just not really worth the time and effort agonizing over when both will perform quite similarly.   In the end play for whatever style you prefer and gear you have, that will make much more difference than the class split.
