Donno what your connection problem is, I just re-DL'd it after a year away last night.  I had no connection problems whatsoever.  I know you said you deleted it just to re-add it, but is your firewall blocking the connections now?

I played two hours ago, it was slow as shit, so I uninstalled. Sometimes I am dualboxing, so I erased manually the second file. Then I installed the game in another partition (not in C: , I installed it in F:)

Not connecting.
I unsintalled again and express installed it (Programs(x86).

Not connecting.

Now I am clueless.

Fdisk, format, reinstall

doo-dah, doo-dah

Really though, maybe the tech support in the main forums can help since it is their protocols that are not connecting.

I'll bet it's a Windows Firewall issue...

I tried without firewall, nothing.
Maybe I have to do port forwarding again, somehow I remember doing that.
I have installed MS security essentials, then played DDO, then uninstalled it, installed it again, de doo doo doo, de da da da...
Well, will try uninstalling MS security essentials and port forwarding.

Problem solved. I downloaded it again from ddo.com and it worked. Somehow the download that I had was too old (2010 I guess).

Nono, codemaster was already dead as I downloaded it. It was November 2010. Wink

you missed the point though : you couldn't download CM version at all...
As it was never Free to Play, the Installation CD was more or less mandatory.

Azog, I had this same exact problem a while ago.  But when they did their last update, it fixed the issue for me.  Even using the alternative launcher did nothing.  I saw some posts on the other fucking forums of people having the same issue - go search over there and see if there's anything that helps.

Thanks Gawna, I solved the issue. A bit disappointing because I wanted to rage and to punish sexually my rabbits, so now I am a bit lost...

I had this problem on a laptop I had.  The HD died.  I replaced it and was reinstalling DDO.  I saw all kinds of posts on the other forums about firewalls.  That didn't end up being the issue.  Something about using the high res version was screwing it up. (older laptop.  About 3 years old).  Anyways, I unistalled, re-downloaded from Turbine, and it was all good.

The version you download is not up to date.  Took forever to update the program and game files.  Looks like it still has to install U16 and U17, at a minimum.
