It gets boring really fast. The planet missions are a-la quake'ish. The flight missions are just all about resources and ship type. Once the novelty wears off, the excitement is gone.

Few of the story lines are great.  Very trek-ish and really, really cool.  The leveling 'stuff' is pretty generic and awful though.  PVP is boring, gear is super generic.  The added Nimoy voice overs in places are pretty cool.

I have a LTS, I show up every couple of months, buy the 'new best ship', rearm it, obliterate a few missions and call it quits for a couple months.
