Pugging on my baby fvs, yes I had to roll a divine, still have fucking 1 wizzy and sorc to do on my main, so long time till I ll be able to play hjealzor.
So I hit "Elite GOP farm".

Fucking hell, good start !
So I get inside, I see 1 brother at full health, rogue splash kiting almost dead 2nd one, rest are dead. DP one, kite, hjeal kiting dude.
Get their stones, fart bb to shrine.

Mass DW, Feather fall trinket on, gr resto scrolls ready, turn maximize+empower on searing light and comet. Quicken on.
First floor, noone getting his aggro or fall faster to allow some nukes before I touch the groound, no dots on him, sorc is doing fuck all, so trying to DP nuke, hjeal and dancing around him, not that easy, he's attacking me constantly. 1 floor take bloody 1 min, I don't know what weapons are these folks using.
Eventually I get negged to death, trying to toss heals and restores around ,1st life so no pale lavender and silver flame neck is depleted fast.
Is there any way to salvage the situation ?

Word of Recall works wonderfully in situations like that.  I always keep a couple of scrolls around for special parties like that.

Sometimes though, people need to be told what they should be doing.  The biggest fails I've ever witnessed in there came from
1. Players that didn't bother equipping a ghost touch item.

2. Arcanes that figure that since the doomsphere is immune to their main element they are useless.

People need to be reminded to equip a silver flame neck/eye/pale lavender/etc.  And they need to be reminded that fire isn't all that damages the Doomsphere.  Acid does pretty damn well.  Things like that essentially.

If they don't have a way to hurt the doomsphere they shouldn't be there.  But if they are, better to put them on trash duty taking out skellies and flensers (especially with their now potent polar rays).

In the absence of people willing to listen, Word of Recall works great.

Just find a competent sorc/wizard to run with that realizes it's worth training in force and having disintegrate loaded just for situations like this. Find 2 and you won't even touch the ground before the next wave starts. That's a quest that I'm picky about running. It's just not worth the headache of trying to run it with a bunch of melee's. On my wiz/sorc lives I make sure to post the group up and allow people to skate by on easy street. On my non-wiz/sorc lives I just find a good wiz/sorc and ride their coattails. Then again, I don't like fighting beholders and loathe anything that dispels buffs so there's that.

Those runs are the best!  It reminds everyone where they started!
