Got this on steam for $1 a few days ago. Addicting as fuck.

Fuck you, Spain. We had a trade alliance and then when I'm trying to wipe out the Gauls you come and start attacking my flank, putting me into a two-front war? You two-faced opportunistic motherfuckers.

No. I almost became King of Ireland, but towards the end all my fucking kids were girls, and no one wanted to be cuckolded into a marriage where the dynasty name stayed mine. Kind of got a little frustrated after playing for like 3 fucking days only to lose. And I'm much preferring the city building/army building aspect in RTW.

But you probably are smart enough to mod that sucker, AI is not that bright in vanilla, not dumb as fuck as Napoleon or Medieval 2 though.
Check out mods when you become a bit familiar with the game, you won't get disappointed.

I never went anywhere without at least 2 onager units and 4 archer units.  everything else was basically bait to pull the enemy in range or a spiky wall made of meat.  There's a reason I did all my training at Fort Sill.

I played too much shogun. Often I would sit down with a friend an plan shitty strategies:
Win in very hard, with ONLY Yari Ashigaru.
Other day we formed an "army" of twelve kensais with best armor and best weapons. It was hilarious to see the twelve guys purchasing the panicked enemy.

The region "Shinano" was my preferred to defend, with the mountains. As I went to Japan and happened to cross the region "Shinano", I had to shot a ton of photos of the mountains and send them to my friend.
