"old" red velah armor (Read 2553 times)

	i have some old red dragonplate sitting around and was wondering what to do with it...if i TRed into something like a 18 druid/2 fighter (to get heavy armor proficiency) i could probably get some use of it in fire elemental form...or is heavy armor enough to de-druidize a druid?

	10,150pp base according to ddowiki. But really, no point to it other than to show off. Might be better for a fighter/barb/pal against trash than Black, dunno how that comparison goes. I guess there's some Pale Master builds that use heavy armor.

As long as you can kill something every 20 seconds black beats everything. Against fire-vulnerable targets Eberon Red isn't terrible. Until you can get black at least.

	I have a evon Robe on my monk only places where i still use it if I remember is Abbot and vs Truthful One

	the burst procs on resisted crits yes and well quick and dirty math says I need around 700 hits to compensate a single full tree powered crit, so yeah prolly the black is still better non tree powered crits need around 70 hits to compensate btw

	I have 3 of the old Velah Red suits. I don't wear them, except as leveling gear. It's nice you can throw them on at 20, instead of 25, like the new stuff.

If you are going to splash Druid, why fighter? You can take heavy armor proficiency as a feat.. Not that I have an empirically better choice, just wondering what your reasoning was. I would probably go barb for the faster running and slightly more HP, although fighter is good for the feats.

	Keep it because it looks fucking awesome. Wear it once every now and again, then forget you have it. Oh and yeah, use it from 20 to 24.
