It's an enhancement for Druids, Tier 1 in Season's Herald:
Beguile (3 ranks) - 1AP - whenever you attack or cast on a critter. 50% chance to beguile them [1/0-2/0-3] times for [3/0-6/0-9] seconds: -2% attack speed, -2 spell power. This can stack up to 25 times.
My guildie on his druid used this on one of the red-named in the explorer area. I don't know how many times it ended up stacking but it was a significant change in attack speed. I have not heard if it works on purple bosses or not.

Ooooooh...nice. Will check it out for sure.

My debate right now is to split levelups between STR and WIS for Overwhelming Crit and keep a highish WIS, or skipping OC and max out WIS and take Vorpal Strikes instead. Opinions?
Skipping OC opens up 3 feats total, 1 of which would be used for GM of Forms and Vorpal Strikes at epic. Maybe the other one for Zen Archery or 10kStars.
Why not do both? I think the stance changes make some 12/6/2 monk/fighter/druid build reasonable. On a 36 point build with a +4 tome in STR and WIS and a starting 16, you can hit 23 by splitting your level points and still not dump con and dex 16 in one and 14 in the other. You have 14 heroic feats (15 if human) and could fit all required feats plus grandmaster stance, the two weapon line, stunning fist, improved sunder and empower heal.
Any flaws in that?

Not that I can think of. I know I have a +4STR tome used, I think I gave my +4WIS to my Cleric though, I'd have to check.
The goal of the higher monk levels was for Quivering Palm though, which requires 15Monk. Based on that I think 16/2/2 is the sweet spot and some choices would have to be made about feats. I gotta update my spreadsheet to see what's possible.

Looking at a feat list I think if you're Human you can fit it all in on a 16/2/2 build:
PA, Cleave, GC, IC:Bludg, TWF, iTWF, gTWF, PL:Mnk, Weap Focus, Stunning Fist, Dodge, Emp Heal, GM of Forms (in no particular order).
That's 13 feats. You get 7 Normal, 1 Human, 3 Monk and 2 Fighter for 13. Since I'm Helf and not looking forward to another TR (already have 2 projects) I'd have to drop a feat or change my thinking. I would drop Weapon Focus and just not take the Tier2 Weapon Specialization from Kensei most likely.

WAI or am I missing something.
20th Pure monk
Have Grandmaster of forms - but only showing Master of forms on my bars - as in, Earth = +2 Con, etc - not showing +4 con, and I can not drag the Grandmaster form to the bar....
I had thought that the forms would automatically upgrade to highest form since you can not drag them to hotbars.
Any ideas?

Just drag the stances from the auto grant level 1 stance feats. You automatically go into the highest available stance.
Not intuitive at all.

First time I looked I couldn't make all of the feats based on prerequisites. I kept ending up short one based on a couple of orders I tried. But I'm going to keeping trying because obviously vorpal plus overwhelming critical plus quivering palm would be nasty.
But if I drop something quivering palm is it, if only because I don't trust that anything DC based will be viable for any amount of time.
Edited:
Edited because quoting is hard plus to say I'd drop quivering palm first.

QP is great right now... just because it might get nerfed is no reason not to take advantage of it now. You can always swap it out later if it does get nerfed.

Has anyone consider 16 Monk/3 Ranger/1 Druid? You sacrifice Kensei tactics and 1 net feat, which is kinda unfortunate, but you gain +10% offhand, more reflex saves, and still has access to haste boost and magical training.
Or did they make it so Ranger stuff doesn't apply to unarmed?

You also lose Tactics DC's. +1hit/damage...
I'm fairly certain main hand off hand percentages are going to be just fine without that 10%

I agree with Shadehater, I like Ranger for other builds but for a Monk that's splashing stuff you want solid tactics unless you're giving up on them completely, in which case you probably don't want to go unarmed and then you're looking at completely different build goals.

Losing +3 tactics is that much of a dealbreaker? What DCs are landing in the expansion quests?
Also, it occurs to me that you don't get access to haste boost with Kensei, and 30% haste boost from the Tempest tree seems pretty superior to the 30% doublestrike boost from Druid 2.

I'd say doublestrike is more important personally. I like the way haste boost
feels
but I think I put out more damage with DS.

How is that possible? Shouldn't Haste Boost (which affects both main and offhand attacks) always trump Doublestrike (which only affects mainhand) as long as the magnitudes are the same?

Depends on your off hand proc %

Right, but if your offhand proc % is low, then haste boost won't benefit you as much as doublestrike. I mean I could be totally wrong. Plus there are other benefits to a 2 druid splash - ram's might, empower heal etc etc

Right. Ram's Might and Empower Heal are indeed good reasons for druid.
However, you are wrong about the boosts. If you have a standard 100 mainhand attacks that produce 80 offhand (obviously, these proportions will vary), then doublestrike will give you the equivalent of 130 mainhand/80 offhand. Haste Boost, alternatively, will give you 130 mainhand/~104 offhand. Doublestrike is identical to Haste Boost for THF, but uniformly worse for TWF as long as the % boost is held constant.

I have Haste boost and Damage boost on my Helf 12Mnk/8Ftr now, so I know you can get at least one of those from Kensei. I thought it was Haste boost as a Tier 1 where you can select either To-Hit or Damage, but it's been a while since I've been back in the game.
So in my case Doublestrike would be another boost to take advantage of.
And for me the tactics boost is important. I'm not sure where I'll end up once I LR into this build but 70+ is required for EE from what I'm hearing. I don't have any Fighter past-lives so it becomes an issue. I've only done 3 lives and the two with Fighter I ended up LRing to get a Monk PL instead.

What about 3/1 Fighter Druid for the Kensai core Spritual Bond, the way I understand that, it's like advancing blows from LD

Yes and no. It only stacks up to the number of core Kensei abilities you have, which would be 2.
And I can also confirm that you get Haste Boost as a Tier1 Kensei ability.

IC, it's confusing then since wiki says it can stack up to 10, but there are only 6 Kensai core abilites

Good to know. The wiki was inaccurate, then.
