If you're gonna try to argue against rest and Glenalth, you'd better do SOMETHING.

There's no need to argue, I'm right and I know it.  If they want to continue to be wrong that's their prerogative.

If Turbine spent as much time developing DOO as they do nerfing, it would be amazeballs.

So, does this mean the Nightmare will be useless soon?

I had to see for myself... went on lama, 50 test crits on kobolds and 12 level drains. I can't be arsed to test properly on lama and I'm probably just unlucky, but bleh. Nightmare is still pretty decent because of the vampirism, but I dunno.

That's definitely a nerf in my eyes.

My old pure rogue was enjoying the dual Sacrificial daggers with 15-20/x3. Now they invalidated one of my alt as well Sad

But those are some of the deadliest toothpicks in the game :/

Also works well with Celestia or dual Balizardes really.  Just depends what your pain threshold is for tactics and smart play.

Of course I turned my fleshy TWF into a Monkcher variant.  My pain threshold was low.

Somewhat yes.  I only have 1 so far so haven't been able to go full retard TWF with them.

It's better than woowoo.  So strong that the fact that woowoo remains nerfed is baffling.

Handwraps definitely seem to be the way to go.  12/6/2 Monk/Ranger/Paladin for saves, furyshot, divine might, and abundant step.  Bladeforged for SLA reconstruct.

You're missing druid levels.

...with recent changes what would be the best setup for TWF now.  I'm still using 8 Fighter/6 Ranger/6 Monk....

Hm... I'm trying to figure out what's so attractive about druid levels.  It provides access to Empower Heal, which is nice.  It's redundant with Ranger in terms of Ram's Might.  It gives a big spell point boost, which may be useful.  What else?

Is it wolf form?  While the expanded critical range is great and is hitting for 9.5 d10 instead of 9.5 d6 would probably improve damage against red and purple names, you would lose your off-hand attacks while shapeshifted, right?  If so, I assume that would present fewer opportunities to trigger Mortal Fear on trash.

Is it natural fighting?  I assume this would involve not shapeshifting into a wolf but still making use of the 18% doublestrike, which would increase the opportunity for Mortal Fear to trigger.  Still, that feels like a lot of feats... I think that build would end up shy of 6 Ranger and have to forgo Furyshot and Improved Martial Arts to fit in three ranks of Natural Fighting.  On the other hand, going that deep would provide access to self healing via Cure Serious and Cure Critical Wounds.

Is it beguile?  I can see how that would be great with 100% offhand strikes and upwards of 35 to 40% doublestrike.  Still, I was thinking that using Adrenaline Knockdown to mitigate incoming damage would be enough, and striking so often I'd expect Adrenaline charges to regenerate often enough.

Is it the Doublestrike action boost?  If so, were you planning on running this build in Legendary Dreadnought and Master's Blitz instead of Fury of the Wild?

Is it all of these and I'm just not seeing the trees and not the forest?  I assume a potential split would be something along the lines of 11 Druid / 6 Monk / 3 Ranger for level 6 Druid Spells, Natural Fighting, access to 25% Incorporeality, and 100% offhand strikes by way of Tempest 2.

Then again, an alternative is 12 Monk / 6 Ranger / 2 Druid and still pick up Beguile and Doublestrike Action Boost, go Human for the extra feat to fit in Empower Heal, use Cocoon for self-healing, and run in LD to have 20-some minutes of action boosts.

Are any of these hitting at what you're hinting at?
