RADS 13/6/1 - Rogue Assassin Deepwood Stalker

This build's aim is to combine the usefulness of Exposing Strike with a decent amount of SA damage and Manyshot with a lot of SA damage. Using Balizarde against trash and crafted Rapiers against bosses, the racial enhancements enhance pinion as well. Thanks to Tempest's extra offhand chance and extra damage, the damage output of this is comparable to a pure rogue.

34pt Elf.
16 Str (all level-ups here)
17 Dex (+4 Tome to qualify for ISA)
14 Con
14 Int
8 Wis
10 Cha

Leveling Progression
1 Rogue
2 - 7 Ranger
8 Fighter
9 - 20 Rogue

Feats
1 Power Attack
3 Past Life: Sneak of Shadows
6 Dodge*
8 F: Point Blank Shot
9 Precision
12 IC:Piercing
15 GTWF
18 IC:Ranged*
21 Improved Sneak Attack
24 Combat Archery*
26 Elusive Target
27 Permahaste/Epic DR
28 PTWF

The feats with a * can be replaced by Cleave, GCleave, Overwhelming Critical if you want to emphasize constant melee damage over your burst dps. Having PA and Precision is a whim of mine - I like being able to SA high-fort raid bosses.

Enhancements
This is the point where I'm actually looking for advice. I'll post my questions in the next post and edit the OP as soon as I have some definitive-ish AP layout.

Oh, Enhancements. It's clear that there are Enhancements one wants to pick up because they add more damage, such as the SA line and clicky attacks from Assassin, Extra Damage and Haste Boost from Tempest, Elf Racial Damage, Exposing Strike from DWS and probably W&SM from Mechanic (ugh).

Taking these to tier 3 leaves me at about 19 APs, which I can spend to go to tier 4&5 of Assassin, DWS or Tempest. Help me decide.

Assassin: Offers +3 Seeker, Killer and Execute
Tempest: +3 Seeker and a lot of clicky attacks (which of these are good?)
DWS: Offers Execute and Killer while needing to invest in FE damage and to-hit.

DWS looks the weakest to me (unless maybe you only do 2 -3 raids with that toon).
If the tempest attacks are good, I'd take them, otherwise I'd go for Assassin. Thoughts?

Killer is something I liked at first, after playing with it though I've dropped it. All stacks drop once the duration runs out. Against bosses it's useless, against trash it makes too little difference.

Given your not making a centered build, you should seriously consider crafted daggers or kukris against bosses and going t5 assassin for the +1 crit threat range and multiplier.

Agree strongly on both points. Killer looks great on paper but is useful about 3% of the time.

15-20x3 Daggers is amazing.

I still find killer quite handy. Just kill fast enough, you'll be fine.

This is similar to my rogue's build, but with str + fighter + balizardes instead of  dex + monk + celestias.  So not really the same. Just the 13 rogue and 6 ranger, I guess. I'm considering doing 14 rogue/6 monk instead. I doubt I'll miss that 10% offhand proc chance, and it'll give me more dodge and shadow fade.

Currently I'm hitting 41% DS when my killer is running. If I had a DS item and twisted in some GMOF abilities, I could hit 55.

Be warned your assassinate DC will fucking suck. Missing 7 levels of rogue kills you. If you make this, don't bother with assassinate. Using an eMG in my offhand, my DC is still only like 47 outside of shadow dancer.

only useful mostly shortmanned or solo. If you have literally nothing better to spend the points on, ok.

I tried Dance of Death and it was useful very little of the time.  Feels like enemy mobs have to be lined up perfectly to hit more than one at once.  Growing Storm and A Thousand Cuts are nice, though not spectacular.  I tried Elaborate Parry, the benefit isn't noticeable.

That +3 seeker is gonna cost you 9 AP.   Tongue

Would you mind posting a rough sketch of your AP distribution? Even though the build are a bit different, I think that there's enough similarity to get some ideas from it.

This build basically gives up Assassinate in favor of Manyshot; I'm aware of this.

This tilts the APs towards Knife Specialization. Thanks for your input. If somone else is very happy with the investment into the clickies, please let me know!

I will, in a few days. I've been taking a DDO break. Finally got a good headset for my PS3 so I've been robbing and killing in GTAO.
