thats it for mabar this year? (Read 5001 times)

	as we all know, bans got extended. i heard that mabar is going to start this weekend. especially on sarlona, there are no people left to play the event with. the number of people being able to join the level 26+ instances on sarlona is below 20 right now because thats the amount of people lvl 26 being online right now: 19. there are not enough people level 26+ to 1. farm motes and therefore summon the dragon in a timeframe that is possible to calculate or expect to happen 2. kill the dragon in order to get scales 3. get u ur +5 tome. And while turbine and our lawful paladin heroes on the forums prolly thought that this is a good punishment for all the evil exploiters, i think they forgot that these people are needed to make mabar possible.

	pretty sure the dragon is a timed opening now....at least it was for preview was at the turn in dude each time the event opened saw it go from around 5k to open instantly the last 2 opens it also opened on wayfinder....which� knowing their population would have been impossible although not sure if thats gonna help the 26+ instances from what i heard lag coupled with massive garg spawns and their damage output the alters were going down faster than thrrud on a devs penis

	Yeah, so far I'm 1/2 on the dragon in the upper level band during about 2 hours of play time. First one I popped in as soon as I logged in and ended up with 2 people in the instance. No biggy, failed but meh, got the key back. Second dragon was laggy as heck but we managed to complete - good organization and good dps.

	2 for 2 so far in 16-20 instance. Both took maybe 3 minutes. Next up - my 27 Cleric. Amazing how fast they go now when there's no lag.

	0/1 in highest level instance on Sarlona. Failed due to lack of talent; altar destroyed. I'm waiting for Chinese prime time until I try again. Guildies in the 16-20 version won theirs in ~1.5 minutes.

	I went and hung around in 20 -25 instance for ah hour prior to afk picking hubby up from station. In and hour on khyber after afk 3 hours the dragon was nowhere near appearing. I miss the exploiters

	1/2 instances 20-25......first instance had less than recommended people, we completed easily (if took longer than normal due to at most 2 people at most altars/levers) second instance we had like 6 people per altar and like 2-4 people per lever.......we completed but we had some lag deaths and about a quarter of the people (including me and the other person at the NE lever) got booted out. We got booted out literally 2 seconds before getting the signet/spectral scale. So I'm tring again...... also dragon was opening every about 2 hours on argo.....afaict

	I wonder if they banned more players on Orien today, my mabar dragon instances had nearly no lag today even at peak US gaming time.

	I've received PM reports that there is an unannounced 2.5 hour timer on dragon instances, to combat lower populations. This might not be evident yet, as there is a huge rush to get the dragon instances open in the beginning, but may become pronounced towards the end of the Mabar run. The reason it's unannounced is because they weren't sure they could get it to work properly. These reports come from alleged Mournlanders. Take that for what you will.

	i heard that was intended and expected to happen but the incredibly awesome dev team fucked it up in the exploit hotfix...of course they said they didnt but experience on live showcases thier incompetence....so another win for fail

Even some of us that aren't banned aren't willing to deal with the annoyance and BS required to actually succeed at a dragon kill. Favor grinding seems more worth it at this point than trying to deal with Lagbar.

	XP grinding is what's worth it. Screw mabar when there's a 25% xp weekend. The Shadow Crypt entrance is packed. Tons of chinese.
