Bladeforged FvS Evoker?

Trying to map out my last 6 caster lives to round out my casting and I'm starting to lean toward doing them all as Iconics. I enjoy the 15-28 game more than the 1-14 now having ground out more past lives than I'd ever planned on doing and would like a break. I've pretty much settled now on doing the Morninglord cleric lives first as they have more to offer the FvS lives than vice versa (those Morninglord past lives would be outstanding for a FvS).

My question is whether a Bladeforged Evoker sounds like it would work. Would likely go 18FvS/2Paladin just to avoid messing around with LR+1's. You're giving up 2-3 wisdom compared to other races and some healing amp but you do gain some fort as well as an extra self-heal (recon) SLA if you want to spend the points for it.

While I'm thinking about it on a caster-based Morninglord Cleric what builds make the most sense? 2 FvS make the most sense as a splash for a cleric that has primarily caster gear (ie no cool wraps or melee items)?

Check out arkat's thread for a workable morninglord cleric. 

For FvS past lives, bladeforged would work okay.  Human of course would be better, but then you don't get the iconic past life as well.  I would splash 6 sorc or 6 wizard to get the much needed single target DPS rotation.  14 fvs/6 sorc or 12 fvs/6 sorc/2 paladin would work okay.  You can still take blade barrier and skip out on heal, since you have reconstruct SLA.

I'd go with the latter one that you listed...that way you don't have to swap out the pally level. Not sure how that would play in epics but I guess you could just say to heck with the DC's on that build and go Shiradi and 6 wizard. I really like that build tbh...backload the wizard levels so you start at 15 with 12 fvs/2 paladin/1 wizard and use the invis SLA until you hit 20 at which point you could swap to MM/CM and just abuse Shiradi to cap. And yeah, you could dump heal as no one expects the 12 fvs guy to heal anyways (or if they do they'll be sorely disappointed). Smiley

I almost wonder though whether it's worth building for dc's on the 12/6/2 or not. You could probably get away with some hybrid monstrosity that brought in EK on that build. Smiley

You should be building for DCs.  You're only down 3 DC due to lack of heighten to spell level 9, which isn't that big a deal when you can get 50-60 DC.  It's not like it's a build for staying at cap, so end game content DC requirements aren't the primary focus.

Cool deal...I wonder now that I look closer about sorc vs wizard. Chain missiles and magic missile would suffer a bit with only 6 wizard levels. Wonder if sorc might be better with the ability to mix in some aoe sla's. The wizard SLA's are certainly cheaper though. Smiley

Yeah your MM and CM will suck with only 6 wiz. FvS has a tier 4 enhancement I think that raise Force Fire and Light spells by 3 caster levels, which would bring you to 9. Wearing 3 Piece Abishai will give you another 3 for 12. If you're crazy, you could hold a twilight for 2 more, which is 14. It would basically double your SLA output. And and it would raise most of your FvS spell casting levels too which is cool.

I did a half dozen pre-u19 TR fvs lives as 19fvs/1barb, maxing out both casting and melee. You can be greedy in heroic. Super fast and easy lives. You'd need to go 2 barb now for sprint boost, but at least you can get 50% sprint boost now instead of just 30%.

It's a bit dicier with bladeforged needing a pally level, but I'd be loathe to run TR lives without some sort of run enhancement.
