You do it, Mournland scum.

We did it. We also had some pointed comments. They didn't really listen to us. It gives a great deal of satisfaction when you guys also say similar things. And just as much frustration when you're also mostly ignored. And... well still an NDA for further comments I would like to make ... hmmm.

ML is for all intents and purposes now officially gone anyway. It's Lamm or nothing from here on in.

I am a bit worried about this pack, to be honest. The dungeon sounds super long. The raids sound long, and long run outs in effectively a big wilderness landscape. I haven't made it into Lama to test (damn you character copy).

Is this going to be another case like LOB where it is very rarely pugged because it takes so bloody long to get out there and do anything? If so, it doesn't matter how awesomesauce or not the raids are. The keen ones will group in channel and buy up all the raid timers to get it done, and it will be done and gone in a few weeks, and then I am basically paying for... A big old explorer area like Stormhorns?

Who has actually managed to get onto Lama and see? What did you think?

Well, yes and no.
The raid is very long, and it is abbot-like. So many puzzles requiring skills and easy to shortman (but near impossible to solo).
The wild area is required to pass in order to get to the raid, but it is far, far shorter then LoB wilds. I would say, that Kč you know what to do, you can get there in 5 - 10 minutes Top (when soloing). If running via cleared wild area, its 5 minute Top.

This loot is pretty blah... almost a year since anything good enough to get worked up about has dropped.

For me, even if loot is underpowered, it should never be boring.

Cool, thanks for replying.

How short is shortman, do you think? Could you pug on normal for lolz and go with 6?

Is the wilderness area raid scaled? Are there big bad nasties to fight that would lock out the clueless?

I liked leading and pugging Shroud and Reaver, when one did Reaver, and was starting to do TOD, simply because they are easy to get to. Queen I did a lot, because you almost always got someone you knew / someone who felt comfy running the second group. FOT I would have learned and led had I not been playing DDO very little by then.

How brutal are the puzzles? Abbot brutal (goggles eluded me, the only time I've completed it was when one VERY patient person talked me through it) or Reaver "brutal" (where you can either learn Mastermind or go with the solver).

That's still too long if there's only shitty loot.

No more than 1 minute from Ship if they want the raids to be run for more than a few weeks.
( and yes I include loading screens in that minute, if it's more than 2 loading screens from ship it won't be run. )

There seems to be some changes to the loot:

A peek at some changes
Here is a glimpse some changes we've made since the posting of this thread. (No, these changes won't be found in the next prop to Lamannia. Sorry!)

Manual of Stealthy Pilfering
+20 Spot
Upgrade UMD will go to +4 enhancement bonus

Necklace of Mystic Eidolons
I'm sorry to have got everyone excited with the exceptionals. After some debate, we've decided this should really be +3 Insightful, upgraded to +4 Insightful.
We're also moving the Augment Summon from the Libram to the upgrade on this necklace, where it will have a built-in advantage. Oh - and if there are any CC spells you'd like to see on the Shadow Puppet, feel free to let us know!

Libram of Silver Magic
Staying an Orb. Adding 20 Spellcraft.
Upgrade goes to 2% exceptional lore bonus, +11 INT & CHA. No more augment summoning

Deathwyrm Cloak
Is trading some features with the Dragon Masque.
Permanent Nihil: +30 Alchemical Bonus to Negative Energy Spell Power
10% negative energy amp
Deadly goes to the masque, negative level rates go away. (Force Abs. and the augment stay.)

How sad must this loot guy be? I mean all he had to do was make better loot than FoS, even slightly, and he would be hailed as the Jesus of loot. He has failed to do so. He is FoS 2.0 and that gives me a terrible sadness.

How to make better loot than FoS:

Step 1) Open loot table
Step 2) Ctrl + select everything FoS made
Step 3) Press DELETE
Step 4) ???? (suggest restore the loot that FoS deleted)
Step 5) Profit

Actually, scratch that. Not everything. Everything sucky.
I like some of them GH loot.

Replace as follows:
Ghostbane I-XII (or whatever the highest value is) > Ghosttouch, lesser undead bane, undead bane, greater undead bane, disruption (depending on level)
Riposte I-XII > lesser parrying, parrying, greater parrying
STILL add the deleted item enchantments back into the loot tables

The new raid loot needs more... raid-loot feeling.

Give us that raid-loot feeling!

The lore bonus is small, not retarded good.  The spellcraft bonus over what people already have will be completely unnoticeable and the +11 INT is already around on gloves.  So it's a +1 CHR over current random loot.  Hardly retarded.

It does have both charisma and int on one item.

Make it uber by adding a GUILD SLOT \o/!

The lore bonus stacks; it doesn't really matter if it's small. The spellcraft and +11 stats save an equipment slot. +11 stats are already found on random gen loot, so there's no improvement in CHA, only consolidation. The Erudition and Blue Dragon set bonuses give +15 stacking spellpower; this item gives +10 stacking spellpower by itself. Compared to what we have for casters, this orb is worthwhile. Especially when it would take about 4 items to get equivalent bonuses.

I expect a post on the other forums saying 'Cetus said the orb was good, you should nerf it'. If only to troll Cetus.

They might just nerf it.

You know how fast they are to nerf stuff for any reason at all.

Fast to nerf, slow to fix bugs. Turbine development motto.

It has neither an elemental power nor a lore on it.  That makes it worse for a lot of casters than random drop with a slot.  It certainly limits casters using a nether orb for focus V.

Being slightly better than random drop for a lot of casters and worse for a lot of others makes this far from a "retarded good" item.

I'd probably fit it in as a swap item if I happen to get it, but it doesn't motivate me to run the raid to get it.

It *does* have lore on it. Exceptional lore. 2%.
It has spellcraft, which is sort of an elemental power, since it boosts all elemental damage.

It's a one handed item, which leaves the other hand free for whatever random drop with supreme lore and maximum elemental damage of your choice, which stacks with the stuff on the orb.

Think about the possibilities, not only how the orb would fit your toon right now with the gear you're currently wearing.

Is the orb better than crafting 2 of the new weapons?  Not often imo.

150 spell power, +6 dc, +22% lore
150 spell power, +2 all dc, +17% all lore

I will probably get the orb and a kama with 150 electric spwr, evocation +6, and 22% electric lore.....then maybe make a fire one as well for a swap in for enemies who are immune to electric.

From the raid loot I will probably use that augment for -6 sp cost on maximized spells, maybe the dumathoin bracers for more PRR, and shadowscale robe for more spell DCs yum Smiley

maybe make a two hander electric for when i need a swap in for absolute max evo DCs......but that would be rarely if ever used.
