I rolled up a Nord: medium armor, 2hf, Dragon knight.  Crit build, with lots of use of scorpians chain, stun and cleave.

I've decided I'm not going to keep playing the beta, I bought the Imperial pack after my morning coffee today, I'm going to enjoy the level 20+ content as a newbie.

Not sure what faction I'll stick with in April, will depend on friends / guildies.

Played maybe for 10 hours.
Bland world, no pvp, more boring than Lotro.

It's not gonna last more than few months.

There's a fuck ton of pvp.

You'd know if you'd managed to hit level 10...

Ya there is a lot of PVP if that is what you are into. I have been playing as a High Elf sorcerer. You cant leave the 1st big area you goto so no worries about not having content to enjoy Munk. I am probably gonna roll up something melee soon to give that a try and maybe try Daggerfall Covenant because I have not done that one yet.

Lol right.
Same safe zone pve grind bullshit.
"Cross this line right here and you are NOT safe anymore".
That's why Lotro while having decent amount of content is at 250k accounts ( I pulled that out of my ass ) and DDO is a fucking relic.

That's SO boring for most people, not to mention swtor like crap npcs.
It's just average, overhyped junk that will never be the next big thing.
I adored Daggerfall, Morrowind and stuff, love the lore but this is not good for an mmo.

Good luck anyway !

So did I.  I don't forsee this holding my interest as long as DDO did, but with the time I have to play these days, I can see this game lasting me ~2years.

I guess it depends on what you want from an MMO. I'm mostly hoping this game will be fun to make ~3-4 toons on and play them casually when I can.

I assume it'll cost me ~$300 over those 2 years, I'm pretty aware of what it'll offer me, and I'm ok with it.

Fair enough and I wish you lots of fun from the launch.
Maybe I am all cynical and jaded ( and all time low interest in DDO ) and expected too much.

Did not play that one so I have no real opinion on it. However I had a lot of fun in this most recent beta weekend. Made a melee this weekend (tank) to try it out and it was tons of fun. Prior beta I played a caster/summoner which was fun as well. Also tried out the group instanced dungeon this weekend and it was a blast so I am now even more excited for release.

Hopefully they have another beta with a build that shows off the collision detection because that will make melee a lot more fun Grin

I don't think it'll be a long term game, ~2 years for me, But I do imagine the best playing experience will be when it's new with highly populated servers.

ya, but 80 gig download+pretty expensive is kind of gonna make me wait til I see if it is actually a long term mmo before trying it.

I think that $15 a month for entertainment is pretty cheap and the initial cost for the game is in line with most computer games. Not really sure why this is such a big issue for some folks tbh.

I got the imperial pack. I think it will be fine for a holdover game for a couple years. I played a lizard sorc, it was easy and boring. I don't think I will continue in the betas though, much for the same reason munk isn't. I do know I will be the "evil side" though. My bro is going it (he only plays Nords in elder scrolls games).

I didnt like it. I did feel like it doesnt giving courage to gamer to play it. I think next year or maybe earlier -who knows- ESO will be new SWTOR.
It should be the chosen one.  Cry

I've been an ES fan since I played Morrowind for the the first time and always thought this would make a sweet game. This online ES, just doesnt have the same feel to me. Its got the coating shell but it just feels kind of half-full. The individual immersion isnt there.

played the shit out of the last 3 beta's, mostly to test the area's, builds I intend to play, and pvp.

love the game, myself and 5 others purchased imperial and are planning our starting locations and what not. while it does not have the build design of DDO (so many classes and splits etc.) you can in fact play each class many different ways.

and pvp. . .I have played many games over the course of 20 years. and to this day my single favorite moment in gaming was in eso pvp.

I wont say this is the best game ever. but I think its going to be a success. and its not another damn wow clone, at least its different.
