I actually have a lvl 20 halforc 18 ftr 2 monk who has some monk gear, thinking of LR +20 him into this build mainly because he already has 2-3 usable qstaffs and I basically have almost every other toon type ( only lacking a bard right now )

basically a u19 staff build http://www.ddovault.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1372981669/0 but with fighter instead of ranger, I don't really understand ranger on this build tbh

idea is to go with the enhancements from monk for qstaffs to tier 5, rogue the qstaff line and little more and fighter the kensei weapon line up to tier 3-4, str based since is horc

lamannia is closed so couldn't test it there, a pity

so any thoughts on if this is a good idea or somebody tried it and found it to be shit? would a halfling/shadarkai dex based be better, or a bladeforged str based?

I'm not seeing what 8 fighter really does for you on a QS build. You'd be better off TRing into a bladeforged (start at 15, cap in no time) and capping again as a 12\6\2 monk rogue paladin, or something similar.

Since you have a 20 heart you could LR the paladin level out (kind of a waste, but eh) and do something like druid\fvs\etc.

it does basically the same as 6 rogue, +4-5 extra damage with quarterstaffs

though on second thought I would prolly gome somewhere 12 monk 6 rogue 2 ftr for improved martial arts

Ranger is for manyshot, acces to empower healing spell and echoes through AA enhancements. Could also pick some decent stuff from DWS enhancements: positive spellpower, exposing strike and SA dice.

8 fighter is quite redundant on a staff build. Don't see where you will get the AP to invest in all that stuff anyway.
If you are dead set on using ftr splash, then probably 13 rog/6 monk/1 ftr, though fvs/cleric, pally (2 or 4), druid, ranger (4-8) are much better.

8 Fighter is only good if you want to be centered with a regular weapon.

If you go for Quarterstaffs you have a centered weapon from the start. Then you can pick a btter class for the 3rd classspot, instead of the suckass-Figghter-levels. (Ranger, Paladin)

pally for saves, fighter for feats monk for imp evasion and stances.

Without Rog lvls you're giving up 15% attack speed, plus Quick Strike from Acrobat has less downtime than Henshin.

Personally I went with 12Rog/6Mnk/2Pal, just hit 20 Sun night, slowly leveling epics now.

I have found Bladeforged 12 Monk 6 Paladin 2 Rogue to be useful.

Tier 5 in Henshin
15% attack speed and Quick Strike from TA
Bladesworn Transformation

Enhancements can be built to taste....Pretty much the only melee I play at this point.
