Invis quest guide
Jun 3rd, 2014 at 8:27pm
Print Post
Been wanting to do this Invis guide for some time now and it has been a work in progress for too long.  Time to post.  Here is a list of some of the best quests to use Invisibility to the fullest.

Kobolds’ New Ringleader- Invis at the start and after every door or lever.  Do not break the large crate just north of the start.  Your jump may not be enough to get you over the barricade.   Each run takes about 60 seconds if done right.

Coal Chamber- Invis at the start unless you decide to clear the entry way.  Invis  after each gate or fight. Jump over the patches of sandy floor to avoid scorpions and bats.   Ignore all archers in the vertical shafts.

Trackers Trap- Invis after the first fight (Huntsilver gets kidnapped) and you have broken the root wall(I like fire ball from Scorched Bracers to break the root wall from a distance and to avoid the first group of Gnolls).  Invist to the next barrier, kill gnolls to drop barrier, kill Named Giant, Invis to the end.

What Goes Up-Kill the initial group that allows the first gate to drop.   Invis past all mobs to the portal just past the first shrine.  Once you have completed the middle section of the quest and are outside/on the glacier, Invis to the first cubby/palisade room that will be on your left.  Kill off any mobs following and then clear to the shrine.

End of the Road-  Invis all the way to the castle.  Avoid all mobs and spell wards on your way.   You will need to get 25 kills but you can get this at the Castle entrance and inside the walls.

Feast or Famine- Invis, except to open doors.  You can avoid all the mobs, even the first red named, all the way to the first vault door.

Trial by Fury-  Invis except to complete the puzzles to drop just enough barriers to get through.  Pathing is key.  Invis is not really needed if you know the “correct” path(s).  Invis will not work on the spiders (and there spidey sences) but it will get you past everything else.

Don’t Drink the Water- Invis at the entrance and run past all mobs except to drop barriers.

Chronoscope-If you are not going to farm the optional slayers, use Invis to run through the market.  Saves a ton of time.

Claw of Vulkoor-Prior to Epic Levels, when this quest was EPIC, Invis made the quest soloable.  After first fight with the giants, invis except to open doors.

Beyond the Rift- Invis except to drop barriers.  Does not work on spiders but you can outrun them.

An Offering of Blood- Invis except to open doors after the first fight.  Run past all mobs and ignore the side rooms.  You can use the select key “Q” to target chests behind the doors.

The Tide Turns- Invis through the middle section.  Run past all mobs till you reach the door to go topside.

Bargan of Blood- Invis except to throw/shoot at  levers/open doors.  Run past all mobs till you hit the entrance ramp were the boss(s) is located.

The Lord of Stone-Invis to each of the 3 red named bosses and kill them for the crest to open the doors.  Run past each other mob.

Ritual Sacrifice- After the first fight Invis except to pull 2 pairs of levers that open doors to the “portal” fight.
Blockade Buster- Invis, swim to each ship, find the Crest, invis in the “hold” set timer, swim back/DD.  No need to fight anything.

Frame Work- Invis to the entrance and run to the front gate.  Stone both minotaur’s. Wait for gate to open, re-invis and run/jump/fly to the end fight area.

Diplomatic Impunity- Invis at the start.  Run to the first root wall and let the scorpions break it.  Run to the “overlook” and meet with the scout.  DD or run back invis.  Then run invis to the end fight.

Relic of the Sovereign Past- Invis down both hallways to throw the levers.  Enter the north hallway and invis.  If you are lucky the death knights will open the doors for you.  If not clear to the end fight.

The Path to Madness(entrance to Xorian Cipher quest)- Invis and run past all mobs to the altar.  Prior to the EXP change this quest was worth farming to level up.  May still be worth a few runs.

Stormcleave Outpost- This quest is huge.  Invis to get around mobs can save tons of time.

Skyros' Jewel- Invis till you find the stolen keys (2).  Start west. Then East.

Please post any additions or ideas.

Is this invis for retards or something? Who needs a guide for that, seriously?

Here's a better version:

Invis through almost any quest in the game. Re-invis when you have to break it. Magic! Your quests are now done faster!

Nice list!

I think most of Sykros' Jewel can be invised through. Also, parts of Enter the Kobold.

Also, many other low level quests are very fast/easier to zerg with invis; e.g. Stealthy Reposession, Garrison's Missing Pack, Misery's Peak, Assault on Splinterskull quests (some really good xp there at lvl), parts of The Swiped Signet, STK and Irestone.

Not sure about Relic that you mentioned. I think the Duergar have true seeing. 2nd hallway, with closed doors, can be sneaked through if you're just looking for completion. Also, the big hall elementals can mostly be avoided with invis.

Fail 1: Running a barb. Tip 1: If not doing it for a past life, TR to a bard for moar dps. Tongue Tip 2: If running for a past life, let him pike and use your bot sorc to complete the quests.

Fail 2: No clickies or hoarded invis pots.

Fail 3: Cannot count to 23. At lvl 20 with 10 starting charisma: 11 ranks + 3 from charisma item + 6 from shroud item + 3 from bunny hat/golden guile or whatever = 23. You can easily get 30+ with some skill tome, luck bonus, heroism, yugo pots, arti past lifes etc etc.

However, you might not want to rage so much. Wink

Detour was on the rough draft but was dropped when I remembered "Escort Bensen to the Harper Lodge".  He attacks everything.

I will add Skyros.  Good idea.

I tried to stay away from quest under level 10.  Most can be zerg'd.

A better guide would be a list of quests that you can't invis through.

Also, Spies in the house is a 7-9 minute run with invis.

That is why you let first wave of mobs beat on him, the person who talked with him goes invis to end, then when that person gets to end, rest of pt kills mobs around him, after a bit he will tp to the person who talked with him, and rest of party can invis to end. Cheesy

Come to think of it I have a zerg guide for low levels, get cleave and greatcleave and find a greataxe or a greatsword.  Zerg till red DA then bam bam, back to none.

You don't need to invis to the first root wall. If you stay close to the left wall the scorpions won't spawn.
But not sure if Turbine changed that, because I was surprised in my last TR, that they didn't spawn. ^^

Helps to get it done with an invis clicky that only has 3 charges.

Those fucking quests where you have to defend a NPC (and wish they would/could stay invised)!
